The Modern Heritage collection is a contemporary reimagination of Barbour’s classic styles. It was first introduced in 2004 and pulls on Barbour’s Scottish heritage. The womenswear collection is based on the Ayshire district tartan where the family name Barbour originated in the 13th century. The Tartan is renowned for its greens, creams and yellows inspired by the rolling landscape and beauty of the natural surroundings.

The menswear collection is centred around the Cordovan tartan. This tartan is known for its distinctive rich shade of burgundy.
