As wonderful and glorious as the Summer is, your hair doesn’t think so. With sun, sea and sand thrown at it from every direction you may find your hair looking a little more lacklustre than usual.

To give your hair a refresh, just follow our top tricks and tips to get shiny hair this Summer.

Deep Treatment

To kick start your hair health kick, treat yourself to a deep repair masque, this is an intensive treatment to repair, moisturise and condition your hair leaving is silky smooth.

We recommend trying Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque for a super conditioning, repairing treatment. Just massage a small amount through your hair from root to tip and leave for 5-10 minutes. The perfect excuse to have a bath and read your favourite magazine!

Cleanse

Massage your scalp with shampoo thoroughly, leave it in your hair for about 45 seconds before washing it out. If you’re looking for a deeper clean, try out Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, massage around a tablespoon amount onto your scalp and leave for 45 seconds. The sea salt scrubs buffs away any dead skin and debris to leave you with squeaky clean hair.

Condition

Once you have shampooed your hair, pour conditioner into your hand (a small amount if your hair is short, more if it’s longer) and rub your hands together. Massage through the ends of your hair and leave to absorb for 30 seconds. Rinse out the conditioner with cold water at the end of your shower or bath as it leaves it looking shiny, it seals the hair cuticles and locks in moisture.

If your hair is in need of a little extra conditioning, try a leave in conditioner to give your hair further moisture. Just spritz through towel dried hair and style as you normally would, we recommend Keracare Leave In Conditioner as it adds shine and smoothes your hair.

Maintain

To maintain healthy hair throughout the Summer, make sure to have regular trims to keep your hair healthy. This will also help to reduce hair breakage and over time, make your hair look thicker and longer.

Don’t brush your hair when it’s wet as this causes hair to stretch and break. If your hair is prone to getting tangled, opt for a brush specifically designed to tackle this. We swear by Tangle Angel, not only do they banish tangles, they are also antibacterial and heat resistant so they’re perfect for styling.
