From pretty pastels to graphic florals, set the scene for summer with our guide to the SS18 homeware trends.

Industrial

Exposed brick, smooth concrete, and distressed wood, elevate your home with the industrial trend. Prevalent among interior designs during SS17, the trend takes on a fresh twist this year with hanging pendant lightbulb lamps, clean crockery and neutral linens.

Naked fixtures, exposed wiring, and metallic surfaces are just some of the ways in which you can update your home.

Watercolours

Soft, fluid pastels shades are a huge trend for both interior and fashion this season. Breezy shades of blue, pink, and yellow uplift a space and create a hazy, Indian Summer glow just in time for those warmer months.

Ice cream shades of bedding, cushions, throws and candles paired with gold accents to really make them pop.

Plants on Pink

Creeping back indoors, plants will feature heavily in the home this season. Inspired by the opulence of Kew Gardens and taking a leaf – pardon the pun – out of Wes Anderson’s fantasy aesthetic, imagine exotic hotel lounges and balmy summer nights have entered your home.

Fill you living space with oversized banana leaves and luscious cheese plants to contrast against soft blush pink furnishings, botanical terrariums, planters, pots and wall hangings.

Global Traveller

An eclectic merging of styles, colours, textures and scents, the global traveller trend sees inspiration from all corners of the world come together in one living space. A trend that marries traditional prints and weaving techniques, with stylised florals, paisleys and Aztecs in in rich terracotta colours, the Global Traveller is ideal for those who love to borrow from their favourite looks without adhering to one single trend.

Electric Prints

Bright colours and vibrant prints explode into the home with the electric trend. Graphic florals, coloured glass accessories, bold murals and heavy feature walls come together in a sea of colour.

This season, fuchsia will play a big part in our interior inspiration. Paired with lilac, Pantone’s colour of the year, the hues give a sophisticated edge to an otherwise feminine tone.

A fan of maximalist fashion and all things fluffy, you can find me layering prints or looking for new earrings. A disco queen at heart, if I'm not dancing around the house to 70s soul, I'm counting my flares.
