How to incorporate the season’s biggest menswear trend into your wardrobe.

Take a look in any man’s wardrobe and you are sure to be drowned in swathes of blue, black, white and maybe an adventurous military green if you’re lucky. When it comes to colour, it is fair to say that we have been too conservative with our sartorial palette for too long. This all looks set to change for Spring/Summer ’17.

Trailblazers including Our Legacy, Stone Island and Anti Social Social Club heralded the expanding palette of menswear last summer, and this season will usher various new shades into your wardrobe. We’re not quite ready for rosy pinks and fluorescent yellows just yet, though; instead we’re being eased away from our monochrome wardrobes thanks to highlight pieces in soft pastels from some of the menswear’s biggest names. From the bespoke British tailors at Hackett to heritage American brands such as GANT, pastel pieces are set to become ubiquitous this season and the key to creating fresh, exciting new looks just in time for summer.

In the past, we have had a tendency to be (understandably) a little over-cautious when incorporating such new shades into our wardrobes. When done subtly, however, your pastel pieces will quickly create new, contemporary looks that will fast become your seasonal go-to. The Hut’s fashion editors pick out the highlight pieces from our SS17 collections:
