Nice boots, but scratched

I brought these for my partner for Christmas. When he opened the box to look at them, he noticed that there were some scratch marks on the front of both boots. Although one more noticeable than the other. I would have returned them but the size is no longer available to order. They will obviously get scratched and marked over time through wear. But not what we expected from a brand new pair. But this aside, the boots are well made and comfy. He’s very happy with the fit.
