In 2007, Super Mario Galaxy took the world of video games by storm. Now this first true Mario sequel in years re-energizes the franchise with new levels and new power-ups. - Mario collects stars as he travels from galaxy to galaxy. Every level is new, but the game retains the charm, sense of wonder and beauty in line with Mario's history. Mario works his way through the various levels, sometimes upside-down, sometimes floating from place to place.
- On some stages, Mario can find an egg, smash it open and hop onto the back of Yoshi. Yoshi can use his tongue to grab items and shoot them back at enemies, or to snag attach points and swing across chasms. Yoshi has an interesting diet. When he eats a Dash Pepper, he gets so hot
- and frenzied he can run up steep inclines and vertical walls. When he eats a Blimp Fruit, he inflates like a balloon and floats to new heights.
- New power-ups include a drill that Mario uses to tunnel through the planet's surface all the way to the other side of a planet.
- Skilled players will want to collect new Comet Metals, which will unlock harder Levels with even more challenges.

Great Game
My son who is 5 has wanted this for months. He loves it and although it is quite hard, he really enjoys it. It comes with tutorial DVD but he uses YouTube to help him when he can't work out what to do. Top game and knocks the socks off most of the other Wii games on the market.
Excellent game from the masterminds at Nintendo
Awesome sequel to the mind exploding Super Mario Galaxy. Everything that was great about the first game is back for Super Mario Galaxy 2, plus new ideas and of course the good old Yoshi. One of the best games available for Nintendo Wii.
Good Value, lots of variety
My 5 year old son got this and really enjoys.He found it tricky at first even though he has other Mario games but soon got the hang of it and is working his way up the levels. Would recommend.

This game is one of the best games I have ever played! The story is awesome, the controls are easy which makes it suitable for kids and adults at any age. It gets a 5 star from me, because the game is just Excellent! Two thumbs up :D

simply outstanding
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is simply an outstanding game. It never rests on its laurels for a second, constantly presenting new objectives and mechanics to push you to never before seen places. Even the two-player mode offers new abilities and delights, making it even more fun to play with a friend by your side. Everything is so well designed and so entertaining that it's easy to get sucked into this world for hours. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is so phenomenal that it's difficult to imagine where Mario could possibly go in the future. But that's hardly your concern now. Mario proves that he is still the king of fun.
Good game, you can do much more than mario galaxy 1. You explore, have fun, and many more things. I am enjoying this game very much.

Super super mario!
I played and loved the first Super Mario Galaxy and the second one definitely does not dissapoint. It still feels like the same game, but it's got some awesome new features, such as the new cloud Mario (my favourite) and of course Yoshi! There's 50+ galaxies and 240 stars to collect so it's definitely going to take a looong time to play through. I really recomend this game for anyone who has a wii or loves mario! Music- 5/5 Gameplay- 6/5 Graphics- 5/5 Lasting Appeal 5/5 Overall- 5/5 - Definitely a must have!
An extraordinary experience
When Super Mario Galaxy 2 was announced, I have to say I wasn't impressed. The game all time looked very similar to the first Super Mario Galaxy. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, taking into account that the first game is considered one of the best -if not THE best- platformers of all time. However, after playing it, that's only true on the surface. Underneath lies a game that has more originality in each level than other entire games. The level design is simply brilliant and very varied. Two different levels never play exactly the same. There are a lot of different mechanics between them that keep the game fresh even after many hours. Yoshi, Mario's dinosaur friend, plays a big role in this game and appears in quite a few stages. On top of all that, the music is simply brilliant and features orchestrated tracks that appeared in the first game, entirely new tracks and also tracks that come from older Super Mario games, reminding you how far this series has come since then. The game also features a guide system that helps you if you just can't finish a level by yourself, which is very useful, since the game has some very difficult levels. Concluding, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a game anybody can pick up and play, from new players looking for some fun, to experienced ones that are seeking a challenge. If you're looking for a good game to play. do yourself a favour and get this masterpiece.

well, what can i say? well to start with, this is by far the best mario game i've ever played. it's none stop fun and action from the start. i found it hard to put down my controllers. overall scores graphics - 9/10 gameplay - 9/10 replayability - 9/10 overall - 9/10 addictive and lots of fun.

Pure Class
I found that super Mario galaxy is one of the best games created. I ran straight out to get it after Mario galaxy was brilliant. I love how you can find eggs and then Mario and Yoshi become a smashing duo. It is a great sequel and totally worth the wait.
I have seen loads of vids to this now and it looks AMAZING. its a brilliand step from SMG but it can still have a few more features like where has ice flower gone? this still deserves 5/5 though
This is a good game for all, but my 5 year old can't really play it on his own as there is a lot of reading involved. But it's a nice game to play as a family. We really enjoying going from one galaxy to the next.
