Extreme value for money!Report this review
By far, the best Rockstar game I've played. Like Mass Effect, L.A. Noire is not a game, it's an experience that must be seen (and played) to be believed. I'm amazed, truly, with how good this game actually is. Tons of hype, indeed, but with tons of reason. This is not your traditional sandbox game. This is no GTA. L.A. Noire is a ticket to an almost parallel universe where you'll believe - even if for seconds - you are a cop, investigating something, worrying, hunting. This is a product of love that MUST no be missed.Report this review
Rockstar's L.A. Noire is a narrative masterpiece. Each case, newspaper and flashback takes you deeper into a world of insidious corruption and Hollywood glamour, enriching the compelling plot along the way. The gameplay is minute-to-minute excellent, and provides an experience yet unapproached in gaming. Along the way you will come across crime scenes, shootouts, pursuits, puzzles and interrogations, which are uniformly excellent, and every case feels as gripping and realistic as the very best noir films, and this is of course aided by Rockstar's supreme attention to detail. All of the characters in the game have motion scanned faces, to display every subtle nuance of duplicity or honesty, and the recreation of 1947 Los Angeles is so faithful as to have been informed by real cars and brands, aerial photography of the city, and diverse contemporary records. This happy melange of film noir, open world gameplay and beautiful graphics makes L.A. Noire a wondrous jewel in Rockstar's deserved crown.Report this review
It was posted perfectly, in a nice hard box so it couldn't get damaged. I live in Belgium so I thought it would take around 2 weeks to arrive, but no. 4 days after I've payed, it was in the mail. Excellent service from the hut. L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition itself is very large and fun, and with the complete edition you have even more missions. I would buy it again. Thanks!Report this review
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition is a great game and excellent value. The only drawback is that the controls are a bit iffy at times. The complete edition is worth the money with the extras.Report this review
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition is excellent and the presentation is great.Report this review
Good delivery, beautiful game.. Perfect!Report this review
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition is a cracking crime thriller, featuring some of the most realistic characters ever featured in a video game. The story and setting will draw you in. Refuse to let go and you will find yourself fully immersed in a 1940s noir-style movie experience. It's a must have game!Report this review
This game is impressive under technical point of view. The way the faces show feelings, the lighting, the ambient,... everything it's simple awesome. But it fails in the gaming scheme. It becomes boring when you find yourself doing the same 2 things again and again: look for clues, question people. Ok, some shooting and driving also, but the mechanics of the game is just based on the before mentioned . Besides, driving the cars is awkward and clumsy. One last point is about freedom. I was expecting freedom like in GTA but it's not there, it's more based in a scene frame approach. You cannot choose when you start a mission, it's always one there; you cannot just wander and go to a nice scenic look to see the sunset as a scene never changes its time frame.Report this review
