After playing to the game I have to say that really it's really funny, it is a RPG as Diablo, with situations of so action, I have enjoyed it to the maximum. In addition I must say that the price is unsurpassable since this one very reduced and the quality price of the game it's the best that I find. The order comes very quickly since it's natural.Report this review
I have been pining for a good dungeon crawler for the longest time, and Dungeon Siege III finally delivers. While it isn't as ridiculously huge and open as Sacred 2 was, the game feels a lot less buggy (I said less, not bug free), and the combat is some of the most satisfying I've seen in the genre. Being able to roll a la The Legend of Zelda makes a big difference, switching between long and short-range attacks is easy and keeps battles feeling fresh, and the special abilities you can unlock are actually useful and fun to use. The game doesn't even have potions, because every character can learn a healing spell. Admittedly, this makes fights with everyday monsters kind of easy, but boss battles always had me on the edge of my seat. The new equipment you find or buy, however, isn't that rewarding, so if you like action RPGs for the loot alone, you probably won't enjoy Dungeon Siege very much. The multiplayer limitations also make for a weak online experience, but locally with two players has been a lot of fun. My dungeon-crawling needs have been met.Report this review
This game. Wow! No seriously, Wow! I am going to start off by admitting that I have only played the demo, and so this review is based on what I have experienced so far, but I am massively impressed and so the full game can only be naught but fantastic! I am a big fan of action RPG's... the elements of both genres lend themselves together greatly to create a better version of each. The only trouble is, many of them are just overrun by huge passages of text. This one suprised me however, and the text was just about right from what I've seen. A second run through the demo as the secondary character option did lead to the text being a little boring to read through again (although some was character specific, a lot was relevent to both characters and so left unchanged), but if one were to play through the entire game as character one before attempting character two, then I believe this would solve my issue. Fighting styles are more than adequate. A very simple fight control system is in place and although I was a little confused by how to assign abilites at first, a little experimentation led to solving this issue. Also, the weapons system was a little confusing when I had collected character specific weapons that weren't for the use of my own character. This was easy to solve also. The story unfolded at a very comfortable pace with some fantastic dialogue choices between the character and npcs which progressed the story comfortably, and the voices had been cast well which added to the believability and thus helps the player immerse themselves in the world. Side missions occur during play, and they don't interrupt the flow at all, being available alongside the main story should the player choose to pursue them, and this is also a welcome element for myself as sometimes the side quests in such games can take you far away from the main game and thus confuse you. The success of a side mission can also allow for further information to be unlocked via trust of other npcs, or just reward greater items for use by your character. The enemies are adequate at the level I played, and towards the end of the demo there were enemies that appeared as though they were going to prove a greater challenge than would have been comfortable, but they were in fact ideally levelled to continue the pace of the game. The only thing I didn't like about the demo I played was that it ended to be honest. This game is amazing, and I eagerly await a chance to play it in full. Do not hesitate, pick up a copy and give it a good old play! You will not be dissappointed.Report this review
