Brink is an immersive first-person shooter that blends single-player, co-op, and multiplayer gameplay into one seamless experience, allowing you to develop your character whether playing alone, with your friends, or against others online. You decide the combat role you want to assume in the world of Brink as you fight to save yourself and mankind's last refuge. Brink offers a compelling mix of dynamic battlefields, extensive customization options, and an innovative control system that will keep you coming back for more.

  • Not Just Another Hero - Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character - allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique. As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you'll have even more opportunities for customization.
  • Two Sides to Every Story - Choose to fight through two complete story campaigns as either a member of the Resistance or Security. Experience these campaigns solo, co-operatively, or competively - it's your choice.
  • Blurring the Lines - Take your unique character online at any time you choose. Brink allows you to seamlessly move between single player, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
  • Play SMART - Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you're used to and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold down the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you're trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you'll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
  • Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You'll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

Multi for hardcore

Total :

The multiplayer matches in Brink are exciting and fast-paced, but if you don't have friends to play with, you won't like it for long. The AI is not so smart (ally and enemy) and the servers are laggy. I recommend for hardcore (fps) players only.

Nice Game

Total :

Brink is brilliant! I really recommend this game. This game has good co-op and to stay alive you have to work as a team mate and help other people. The best class is actually soldier as you can restock your team mates ammo. Brink is an excellent game and for a good, cheap price. I recommend that you buy this game. Don't compare this to COD because most people always compare other FPS with COD.

On the brink of dullness

Total :

This game created by splash damage is a team objective based game where you can fight for the army or play as rebels. The objective is to complete objectives/missions by taking a role in this squad based fps. Roles include medic, engineer, soldier plus some others. The concept is well in thought but poor in execution, the missions being very dull, with poor depth perception and distasteful colour tones. This makes finding the objective very difficult. The campaign is the most uninteresting thing in this game. Luckily multiplayer was its saving grace.... that is if you could get a connection. when you found a decent server, it was enjoyable, something akin to team fortress. The controls are a bit loose making aiming a tad on the difficult side. You can forget about aiming down the sight as you are more effective using the crosshairs. The music sound monaural rather than stereo, Voices are done well with a variety to choose. The artistic design is unusual, funnily enough the psycho pre animated fella looks the most normal. All in all if splash damage revise the problems this game had, it would potentially be amazing, but we are left with this poor title known as brink.

Amazing fun!!

Total :

Brink is so fun to play with friends and is one that is easy to just sit an play. It is also good when playing alone because the bots provided are very helpful and adapt to whatever you are doing in the game.

On The Brink Of Greatness

Total :

This game is very good. It's acquired taste, but it's very good in my opinion. I particularly like the idea that all the modes use the same character that you level up and become slightly attached to. The gameplay is very good, the SMART button works to near perfection. It's just great. But I can't give it five stars. There are some flaws with it. Early on it was very laggy, I think it has been improved now though, so you can pretty much disregard this. This isn't a flaw per say, but the reason I can't give it 5 starts is because there aren't different modes. There's no team death match or other modes, each level is a mission. You can play it how you like, but you're best off working with your team. That said, don't let this discourage you, replaying this missions isn't a bore at all and co-op is absolutely fantastic. At this bargain price, I would pick this up straight away!

Brink is a change from the norm!!

Total :

This is a rather epic effort to say the least. You mess about for ages designing your character, then once you've got a cool enough dude, take him into battle. I'd say lady, but I don't know if you can choose a lady in the game? You probably can! Anyway.. the game! You find yourself thrown into a world familiar with all the above games. It's a shooter from a first person view (yeah, FPS) and boy, does it deliver! Epic arsenal of weapons to say the least! And the online multiplayer is just unbelievably good. One team vs another, but this is a mix of all multiplayer modes. You need to capture systems, steal other systems from the enemy, save or, indeed, kidnap hostages, and indeed it's always more than fun to run about deathmatch style - but you can do it all in every single level. So basically it's like a free for all fps in a world of its own. The more you kill, capture, kidnap and pillage, the more in game XP you get and the more weapon attachments and power ups you unlock. It's addictive. It's gorgeous to look at! And indeed as the title suggests it brings everything you love about your shooters into one totally seamless experience! Buy it. Now! Then thank me later :)

good game

Total :

I think this game is perfect for people who were big fans of mirros edge and borderlands because it has the best qualities from both games fused to make this free running gunner game with some humour. if your like me and love free running games then trust me people this is the game for you.

Revolution or Order

Total :

I have played Brink since yesterday and I am a little bit dissapointed. OK ... I must be honest I am not the shooter type. But the so praised story is really flat and only names the scenes where you are currently in. Beside that you have a massive equipment of weapons and skills you have to unlock to survive the fight between Order an Revolution ... And you can indivitualize yourself out of 15 million combinations. The whole Game has Multiplayer functionality. What a suprise for the shooter genre ... Nevertheless ... I played it and I recommend it. It is not a reinvention of the the shooter genre but it makes fun ... It will satisfy you like Battlefield BC2 and Crysis 2 ...
