Dragon's Dogma is a really interesting game on many aspects. One of them is the will of changing the traditional Japanese RPGs approach. If you want a taste of this new point of view then give it a try.Report this review
Dragon's Dogma is a fantastic game, I absolutely love it!Report this review
I got this game as a gift. I did not want to buy it because I lost all trust in capcom. But I must say that not buying this game would be one of the bigger mistakes in my life as a gamer. The game is a perfect open world RPG. It has its flaws of course but they are outshined by all of the awesome things this game has to offer. Graphics: the graphics of this game are amazing. The vistas you will see in this game are breathtaking. Capcom really made sure that every inch of the land is different in its own way. There are some flaws; npc models can take some time to show up on the screen, and character animations are a little stiff which can break the immersion a little. 8.5 out of 10 Gameplay: This is where Dragons Dogma outshines all modern RPGs. Imagine dark souls meeting shadow of the colossus. Expect some epic battles in this game, some will take a really long time but will not get boring. The ability to climb on creatures and work with your pawns makes room for some fantastic and epic tactics. The only flaw is that the camera can sometimes get crazy and trap itself beneath a really big monster, and climbing monsters can sometimes be a little "stiff". The world is truly huge, and the lack of fast travel gives us that "old school" RPG feel. 10 out of 10 Story: Did not really progress to much with the main story because of so many awesome side quests. but as much as i saw, it is nothing impressive, a regular RPG plot, dragons dogma comes to shine in its sidequests. The quest are extremely unique and you will never get bored with them. Even if they make you wander around the map a little there is so much to explore that you will never run out of things to do. 8 out of 10 Overall: This is a game every RPG fan should give a shot, you will not get dissapointed. It guarantees hours of entertainment, 10 out of 10Report this review
Seriously the best RPG i've ever played. Finally capcom have made a decent game other than the original resident evils up to 4. Ive got to say this game beats skyrim and Im a massive fan of skyrim. It has everything you could possibly want in an RPG; great graphics, excellent sound track, controls well, and has an awesome story line. Best thing on this game has to be character creation and the missions. You have endless ways to create your own personal character and also your follower - you can even re-dress followers you gain from online players. Your followers are very helpful, always giving advice and help in acquiring items. And when you think youve seen all the enemies a new one will be right around the corner or in a field somewhere where you least expect it. I highly recommend this game! It is worth every penny, you will not be diappointed, unless your not an RPG fan of course.Report this review
An excellent game but it can be a little off putting to begin with. When you start hiring pawns make sure they a higher level than you, this will help your game enormously.Report this review
Dragon's Dogma is a great game for those who enjoy playing RPGs and also those who enjoy a hack and slash action game but so much more advanced. It takes an couple of hours before you really start to understand the game and all the effort that's been put in with the design. Will be a great franchise I'm sure although there's a lack of full online co-op there is a mode to kill a giant dragon although I'm yet to experience it. So many ideas have been put into the game. The night and dark environments really have and atmosphere and it feels like a survival game which is great. Almost like having more than one game. There's some nice animations on the larger monsters and its great when you take down the ugly beast. The pawn system is the thing that separates this game from others, you create one to be you loyal companion and hire pre-made or others made by gamers. If players hire your pawn you earn rift crystals to hire stronger smarter pawns to help on your quests and taking on mega beasts.Report this review
