It's a little difficult at first, but once you adapt it's a great game. Really addictive. Kill all the Demons and earn their souls; don't consume them! They'll be useful to make unique weapons and spells. If you like RPG games, you will love this one!Report this review
I haven't finished Demon's Souls yet, but I'm finding it interesting, beautiful and entertaining, but it is frustrating too... very frustrating. Recommended if you want a serious gaming challenge.Report this review
Demon's Souls is epic! Definite must have if you like difficult or challenging games. Welcome to Boletaria.Report this review
One of the best games. Hard and challenging.Report this review
It's a very unusual game. It starts off with the main plot being a soul hungry demon who is destroying the world bit by bit and you're called in to save the day. It's an action RPG where you destroy demons and monsters as you progress and use the souls of the fallen enemies to upgrade your skills and weapons. It doesn't tell you much about the world or where to go next and it's extremely difficult but as you'll learn how to deal with the bosses and stages it feels very rewarding to succeed and be able to move on where you moments ago failed. Beneath it's unforgiving and harsh surface lies a fun game. I can recommend it if you're looking for something to challenge yourself with!Report this review
This game is not for everyone. If you enjoy more casual titles like World of Goo, Prince of Persia (2008), Reboot and such but don't enjoy grinding same area time and time again, this game is not for you. To quote Jason Pullara: "You're going to die... a lot!" and oh is that true. But if you're hardcore dungeoncrawler and enjoy the challenge then go for it! For me it's at the same time one of the most frustrating games ever and yet I'm absolutely loving every second of it. It's perfect mix of pressing atmosphere, test of nerves and brutal combat. Recommended playing online for more interactivity with other players while you still can. The publisher of Demon's Souls, Atlus, has told that they're going to keep the servers up for at least 2012 but for how long after that? No one knows.Report this review
Prepare to die seems quite bad as a review title but it is really suitable because in this game the player will die,and this will happen quite often. Demon's souls presents a great gameplay, simple in the controls, with a good plot and really gratifying when you beat big demons and monsters. The most important thing is to understand the weak points of enemies because this will decide if you live or die. Needless to say that From Software (the softwarehouse) made a fantastic job even for what belongs the graphics and the soundtrack.textures are awesome and the game is fluent. The music on the background is always appropiate and never invasive. I raccomand Demon's souls at all those gamers who want to play a real RPG and who serach for the most challenging game on the market.Report this review
If you like something cool game, this is your game. If you like hard challenge for trophy, this is your game.Report this review
I laughed off the myth of Demon's Souls' impossible challenge, sure I could conquer it in no time. The reality is each battle is a real test of skill and ingenuity. It's an unforgiving hell that sucks you in as potatoes and spits you out as chips. But it's addictive, and keeps you coming back for more. The controls are simple to pick up yet deep enough to master, with different character classes giving a huge boost to the replayability factor. If you can get past the first boss, that is. Two swings of its enormous club and I was dead. But Demon's Souls is terribly rewarding. The feeling you get from progressing one step at a time is phenomenal. Not many games want to test your abilities and watch you grow. Demon's Souls is a real triumph, and the perfect precursor to Dark Souls.Report this review
