From the producers of Band of Brothers, The Pacific tracks the real-life journeys of three U.S. Marines - Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) - across the vast canvas of the Pacific Theatre during World War II. The extraordinary experiences of these men and their fellow Marines take them from the first clash with the Japanese in the haunted jungles of Guadalcanal, through the impenetrable rain forests of Cape Gloucester, across the blasted coral strongholds of Peleliu, up the black sand terraces of Iwo Jima, through the killing fields of Okinawa, to the triumphant, yet uneasy, return home after V-J Day.

The Pacific is an amazing film, I'm so glad I bought it.
I ordered this item, it arrived at perfect time. This is compared to Band of Brothers. They are similar but it is equally as good. If you want a present for someone who enjoys war and Band of Brothers I would highly recommend this!
this film is amazing, i brought it for my dad and actually watched it myself although it is not normally my type of film. I would definatly recommend you buy this as it is such a good film and shows a good insight into the army life and front line action.
the pacific is a very good box set about the story of a marine platoon during the attacks against japan. the story goes all around the japan empire during then it also contains strong language and a lot of gore
