Film to see.

5

If you are a karate kid lover this is a must see. Its a modern up to date version but has very few similarities to the original. Although it is different the theme and actors bring the movie alive. Great film for the family to sit in a watch with some pop corn or even snuggled up on the sofa. Movie caters for all audience. One of the best films of 2010. This would be an ideal Christmas present resulting in many smiles on Christmas day

Could do better

2

I thought the best part of the film was the trailer, Jackie Chan seemed too young to be a Kung Fu master and Jaden Smith character was not too believeable, sorry. I think the original Karate Kid was much better, time to put this series of films out to pasture as story line is just boring now.

A Heart And Soul Performance By Jackie Chan

5

Two outstanding actors come together in what can be viewed as a heart and soul performance. Jackie Chan gives a new depth as Dre Parkers mentor and while keeping along similar lines to the original karate kid the difference is quite striking. A movie full of family values, inspiration and excellent acting.

A must see!

5

My family and I watched The Karate Kid at the cinema and we all agreed it was one of the best films we had seen. From the stunning scenery to the great acting, especially from young Jaden Smith, it ticked every box for my family and my eldest daughter now wants to visit China to see it all for herself! Have your tissues at hand though as I spent most of the film in tears!!!

No wax on, wax off

3

Having grown up watching the original karate kid films and loving them i was not sure how good a remake would be. There are paralells to the original movie but there is no wax on, wax off which a memorable part of the first film. I did enjoy this film and was pleasantly surprised by the acting of young Jaden Smith who plays the young boy being bullied. Its not as good as the original but it was a tough act to follow and this is worth a watch especially for the fight and final kick at the end.

A satusfying remake

4

Although going into this one with a negative attitude due to my real love of the original film, I found this film to be a really good remake. The actors casted in the main roles were really credible and convinicng and did do well in making the film their own. I would say the baddie even outdid the guy in the original. A good family film that shows good always outdoes bad in the end. Worth a watch.

The Karate Kid (2010)

If you are looking for a good family film you can't go wrong with this. Enough comedy, drama, action and stunning scenery provide enjoyable viewing for all. I have to admit I wasn't looking forward to seeing this as I didn't think it was my kind of thing but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

A bit predictable, but great watch

4

Jackie Chan never ages and neither do martial arts films! First off, Jaydn Smith is an immensely talented young lad with great amounts of energy and natural talent. He pulls off the role very well. JC adds a very revered feel to his role. All in all, a bit predictable because of the nature of the sequels and storyline, but a very good watch for everyone.
