Created in 2015, by East London designer, Nina Hopkins, she made it her mission to create a women's designer clothing label that is both animal-friendly and cruelty-free. jakke has now gained notoriety for its animal-friendly achievements, by previously being awarded as “Best Faux Fur Brand” and “Best Wool Free Brand” by PETA alongside other reputable designer fashion brands.

Throughout every jakke collection, with it being a vegan brand, not one piece includes fur, skin, feathers and wool, due to their strict animal welfare policy.
