Maze was founded by photographer Kent Johansson in 2003 through his search for a compact, functional bedside table. Johansson harnessed his keen eye for detail and Scandinavian design roots to create the perfect piece for his Stockholm apartment, marking the beginning of the brand.

Since then, the Scandi label has continued to create minimalistic and playful interiors made from carefully sourced recycled metals and wood-like surfaces. The brand focuses on sustainability and aims to have the smallest possible impact on nature during their production, coining this production chain and design concept "Slow Production".
