Christopher Nolan’s (The Dark Knight, Inception) mind bending mystery thriller stars Guy Pearce as Leonard, a man with short term memory loss who is hunting down the man who brutally murdered his wife. To help him find the culprit he tattoos any useful information he may find onto his body. This exceptionally clever movie put Christopher Nolan on the map as one of the most talented men in the film industry today. -M.F.

Memento is the film that got Christopher Nolan noticed as a seriously gifted director and is a real look into the true potential of a master film maker. Ironically the script is by his brother Jonathan Nolan who is obviously by the story, equally talented. What sounds like a simple plot - a man suffering from short-term memory loss, uses notes and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife - is turned into a dramatic movie by the way in which Nolan uses timeline weaving and intracacy to turn this into a masterpeice worthy in any collection. You definitely want to see this if you have not.
Simply put, stunning. A fresh and daring, innovative and inventive exploration into human emotion and manipulation. The plot is a twisting and compelling crime fiction of unbefore seen depth and is cleverly told in an unfamiliar and mind boggling manner, definately not one to turn the brain off for. Believable and unique characters superbly acted out by a superb cast round this off to be a modern classic and a must to all who crave thrillers and especially crime fiction.
