Classic 80’s comedy from John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck) starring Matthew Broderick. Ferris Bueller (Broderick) is determined to have a day off school and doesn’t care what his principle has to say about it. So he convinces his best friend and his girlfriend to take the day off with him, enjoy the freedom and head into downtown Chicago. Hilarious comedy from the Brat Pack era. Not to be missed!

This is quite simple one of the great teen movies. Matthew Broderick is effortlessly cool in the title role and he is assisted ably by the likes of Alan Ruck and Mia Sara. It is John Hughes`s script that is the real star though and this is a movie that has not dated at all since it was released.
Matthew Broderick I salute you!! This has to be one of the all time greats when it comes to comedy as this film still makes me howl with laughter every time I watch it. The film takes you on a roller coaster ride with Ferris Bueller, his girlfriend and his best friend as they bunk off of school for the day and enjoy life to the maximum!! Stand out moments for me are Cameron trying to get in his car to go and pick up Ferris, the parade with Ferris singing and of course the nurse!! But not only do we get an insight to Ferris, we also get to see his teacher trying to catch him out and also the jealous sister who hates him for being so popular. Also keep your eyes open for a young Charlie Sheen!! Happy viewing.
