Sun care secret weapons

Coconut oil is our favourite unsung hero for the summer months. It is great for helping to heal sunburn, as a hair masque or a facial and body moisturizer.

This multi-faceted oil has so many great benefits, that it should definitely be part of your summer skincare routine, or in your travel toiletries.

Tub of Coconut Pure Oil

Top Tip:

Put a few spoonfuls into a bowl ( the amount depends on how much hair you have), heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds, add extra time if needed (until it has melted, never boil the oil), if you don’t have a microwave you can melt it in your hands.
Make sure the coconut oil is a comfortable heat, and then apply the melted coconut oil to your hair and scalp.
Leave the coconut oil in your hair for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Wrapping your head in clingfilm, or a shower cap.
Wash with a natural shampoo, more than once if needed, until your hair no longer feels oily.
Dry naturally or with a hairdryer and see the results.

Pick up your own Coconut oil at The Hut here.

Nuts are a great snack for when you’re on the go, they contain monounsaturated fats that help heart function. They are high in antioxidants and cashews in particular are lower in fats than most nuts. Thus making them a great snack food.

Grab a bag of Cashews from the hut here.

Top Tip: Make sure the nuts are unsalted.
