festivalWhether you’re braving the sodden fields of Glastonbury, taking in the eccentricity at Tomorrowland, basking in the heat at Lollapalooza, or keeping it lower-key and local at Bestival or Secret garden party – the perfectly packed bag is the essential precedent to comfortable festival fun.

We’ve decided to break down all our festival must-haves, from the perfect pair of shades to the right pair of ripped denim shorts, giving you an insight into the type of thing we carry at Hut HQ during festival season (and giving you some top tips along the way)…

1. Flip Flops

I can almost hear you shouting, ‘Flip flops in a muddy field? Are you mad?!’. Well no, I’m practical and sensible and bare with me. Waking up in the morning and reaching for a pair of flip flops to sit outside and have your first drink of the day with is much easier than fumbling around your sodden backpack for dry and clean socks for your wellies. Also ideal if you’re more upmarket and fancy a shower during your festival fun! We love Joules floral flip flops.

2. P20

God willing that there actually is some sun, P20 is your go-to. Apply it once at the campsite and it will keep you protected all day. Transparent and easy to apply P20 ensures minimal mess and minimal fuss – both important factors at a festival.

3. The bikini

Again, we know it might not be sunny, but a bikini is good to wear underneath your clothes – it does get hot in crowds after all and having the option to remove your top is always nice isn’t it? A bikini can also come in really handy when you’re not sure of a shower situation – if it’s public (and you’re not the most liberal), the bikini will feel like an absolute God-send!

4. The Dry Shampoo

No questions about it, dry shampoo is a festival-must. Having a bad hair day? Spritz in some dry shampoo for an instant hair refresh and a more attractive scent shall we say.

5. The Bottle Opener

Always good to have at hand around the campsite, a bottle opener can serve multi-purpose for a whole host of festival issues, you’ll be surprised!
