Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) is on a road to nowhere until he meets Nora Clarke (Jenna Dewan) during community service at Maryland School of Arts. Nora is the school dance prodigy and when her future hangs in the balance, she takes a chance on Tyler, a gifted yet troubled street dancer.
