Description

A survivor is born
Tomb Raider is a great adventure, with fantastic environments, lots of collectibles, and memorable set pieces. I just miss a little more difficult platform sections and variety of enemies.

Well, for me it's the best Tomb Raider I have ever played. OK, there is truly a lack of more tombs with more puzzles, but there are a lot of things which are amazing in this game. The animations are gorgeous, Lara moves fast and smooth at every situation, and the shootouts are very good. I liked the story too. Sometimes there are movie-like sequences. I think I needed 10 hours to finish the game, with 97%. That's a fair play time in my opinion.

Free postage was a good option, came within 4 days of ordering (weekend in between) Tomb Raider is a great game! Seriously immersive gameplay. Quite a lot of shooting involved, I had it on hard from the start and it takes quite a lot to put individual enemies down. Not greatly geared towards problem solving; unlike previous PC titles that were constructed from blocks, this concentrates on more of an explorable world (island), the cinematics are great! If you want a testing, problem solving Tomb Raider, with better graphics (cinematics not so great in comparison) get Underworld, which I feel is incredible testing, and much more fluid as a vamped up edition to the series. It's a shame that it gets a little repetitive, but there is enough playable content to keep you fully entertained. I rate it #2 in the series, Tomb Raider 1 and Underworld coming joint first.

Tomb Raider is an amazing game... Only ONE major defect... It's too short... Took me 2 days to complete.. But other than that, amazing graphics and gameplay.
Lara is back
Tomb Raider is one of this years best games (so far), great mix of action and adventure. What impressed me most was the lighting and sound which were some of the best on the 360. Lara's voice acting and motion were also impressive. Using the Bow was always fun. I took a star away as I felt there was a bit too much shooting. More Tombs to raid and less gun battles and I would have given this 5 stars. Looking forward to a next gen sequel. The Hut's price and delivery time was very good.

Gripping Campaign
The single player mode of Tomb Raider is the true selling point, following Lara as a naive girl on her first expedition gradually overcome the challenges of being marooned on an island and having to fend for herself. The whole experience feels very real especially after her first kill to survive and the death animations. The gameplay itself is very fluid with smooth climbing reminiscent of Assassin's Creed and a combat system similar to Red Dead Redemption, seamlessly switching between covering and firing. The campaign had me hooked from the very beginning with tense, button mashing scenes throughout and as soon as I finished I started again. Whether or not you are a fan of the old tomb raider games, the game provides a very rewarding experience and I would highly recommend it to anybody.

Tomb Raider is a fanstastic game, with outstanding graphics and the story of Lara growing up to the heroine we all love. This game features plenty of action and cut scenes of which you can't tell if it's the video or gameplay. I would recommend this to all for plenty of hours of game play that you will keep coming back too.

Excellent Refresh of a title
Tomb Raider is excellent. The re-fresh of the title has taken Lara back to her very first adventure. The playability is great, smooth, and her gadgets are fantastic - her main weapon is a bow and arrow - which gets upgraded to a crossbow...awesome! There's a good story, good narrative, and good supporting castings...as is normal with a Tomb Raider game. The one thing that I think could have been better was more hand to hand combat - a lot of the movements are from a distance and very few are close combat. Overall this is a great game, and as ever The Hut have a great price and also fast delivery. Thanks

WELCOME BACK LARA
Tomb Raider is a great game! graphics and effects are good. Not as many secret areas to run into like previous games. More shoot ups than before but saves regular and you don't have to repeat much if you mess up/die. Excellent storyline, kept my call of duty addict son happy. Cant wait till the next one.
The best game since Tomb Raider
I used to play Tomb Raider a lot in 1999. Nothing's lived up to it since until now. This is great. Intuitive. Straight back in. But much more realistic
