It's an excellent follow-up. It grants more depth to the original game, adds some minor fighters and locations and if you want a good fighting game it's well worth the price. Also, you don't have to unlock all the characters playing once and another the arcade mode, which was painful in the original game. All fighters are unlocked by default.
