However, she was nowhere to be found. Everyone was convinced she was gone-with the exception of her sister, Serah Farron.
Three years later:
A single meteorite falls from the sky. As spatial distortions are created, bloodthirsty monsters appear, threatening the peaceful existence of the townspeople.
In the midst of this chaos, Serah is rescued by a young man by the name of Noel. A hunter from the future, he appears in front of her with a message.
"Come with me across the boundaries of time," he says. "Your sister is waiting."
She is Lightning—protector of the Goddess who rules the realm of death and chaos. She is Serah’s sister, her heroine, her savior.

Multi-layered storyline is great but the battle system is lacking a little.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 review: I liked Final Fantasy XIII, yes the start of the game was a little slow, but this was so new users could get use to this type of game. Now Final Fantasy XIII-2 looks like they have fixed a lot of the issues from the 1st game. I have only played the 1st few hours, but loved it. If you like the 1st one you should like the 2nd one. The game looks good, plays well & the story so far is good and for the price you can get this at the moment I would buy it.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a great game, better than the first part of Final Fantasy XIII. It seems to me a bit short but, great experience to play. Very recommended!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a great game. The best RPG game ever in my opinion! I love this game.
Great game
Great game, new updated battling takes the game to a whole new level. Live cinematics allow you to interact through what was usually long videos which normally comes with any final fantasy game.

I love this game its like final fantasy used to be with the interaction of lots of different characters. I was not a fan of final fantasy 13 as i thought the world was quite boring and there was a lack of people in it in 13-2 there is loads of people to talk to and worlds to explore i thought this game was excellent and so far have really enjoyed playing it. The picture quality is good and battle system is much the same as 13 so if you did not enjoy that the game is not for you. I personally have loved every minute of this game. Well worth the money
