Alice: Madness Returns delves deep into the dark and violent side of the imagination, creating a nightmarish Wonderland where Alice must face the demons that haunt her visions. Visit the grim reality of Victorian London and then travel to the beautiful yet ghastly Wonderland to uncover the root of Alice’s madness and discover the truth behind a deadly secret, kept hidden for years.
Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice’s family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, where she struggled to confront her demons by slipping further into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release—yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event.

With her mind in tatters, she is unable to resolve the fear prompted by her strange memories, dreams, and visions. Perhaps she’ll do better in Wonderland. She always has. She travels there, seeking what the "real" world can’t provide: security, knowledge, and the truth about the past. But in her absence, Wonderland too has suffered. Something has gone horribly wrong, and now a great evil is descending upon what once was her beautiful refuge. Can Alice save Wonderland—and herself—from the madness that consumes them both?

Alice Madness Returns is a good game with an interesting storyline and excellent graphics. Overall good price for an interesting game.
This game is a master piece and it isn't only that... also includes the first game to download!!! Fantastic!!
Had real misgivings about playing this title after many reviews of the game raised issues of repetitive gameplay but glad I did. The arguments aimed at A: MR can be justified in several places but the mechanics are just about acceptable when you are busy drinking in the beauty of the game world. It really made me want to play more just to discover more of it. Put it this way, I have never seen the Unreal Engine look so pretty. The whole storyline acts as a dark sequel to events from the original material with passages of play in Wonderland broken up by story driven scenes in grimy Victorian London (that give details of Alice's plight in the real world). There's an interesting story going on here and, despite gameplay flaws that will probably prevent a second playthrough, you'll want to find out how it all ends. Add to that a code in the box allowing a free download of the original and critically acclaimed American McGee's Alice on XBL (first time it's been available on console and 800 points if you buy it separately) and you've got a couple of dark stories to intrigue you as the nights draw in. Perfect for those who don't want to go near the behemoths that are BF3 and MW3 this festive period.
Nice game with a beautifull gothic ambientation. A platform 3D game with some puzzles to solve. Graphic not excellent, but nice.
Excellent roster of characters well developed, fantastic design and graphics all accompany an interesting story that is fun and challenging to play through. This is a modern platformer with some puzzle elements, not a retread of the previous Alice game (which is included as a download). I've thoroughly enjoyed my time in American McGee's Wonderland and look forward to his next game. The only thing that detracted from the experience for me were a sometimes awkward camera behaviour (not too much) and the occasional graphical pop. These are minor negative points in an otherwise impressive game.
