From the creators of the critically-acclaimed Uncharted franchise, Naughty Dog are back with The Last of Us, a genre-defining experience blending elements of survival and action developed exclusively for PS3. A pandemic has radically changed known civilization. Twenty years later, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons, or whatever they can get their hands on.
Joel, a ruthless survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a simple job soon transforms into a profound journey across the U.S. What does it take to survive in the brutal yet beautiful world that is The Last of Us? This is what players will be faced with at every turn as they embark on an epic journey with Joel and Ellie that will explore the depths of humanity and push them to the limits of human perseverance.

I've played TloU for about 50 hours and am now on my third playthrough. I usally don't play any game more often than once, so that's quite amazing on its own. Graphics: 5/5 Cutting Edge Animation, highres textures, great atmosphere you feel the world around you. A world where nature took over and is now reigning with grass and trees all over the ruined cities. Sound: 5/5 The great Soundtrack accompanies the game perfectly and is also used to increase the pressure on you when enemies are closing in. The voice acting is nothing short of excellent and especially Ellie and Joel play there part very well. Story: 5/5 The story is, where this game shines even brighter! You always feel connected to this crazy new world the survivors live in and you're always asking yourself:"Would I have lived any different if I where in their shoes?" Gameplay: 5/5 It's no cover shooter. It's no third person shooter. It's a survival horror game trying to be as realistic as it can be and it succeeds in doing so. It's been some time since I've played a refined game like this. I'd say Deus Ex 1 was as compelling to play... Overall: 5/5 A true masterpiece! And a Must Own for every gamer on this Planet.
The game is top, like all games created by Naughty Dog! The post apocalyptical game story is fascinating and the gameplay is highly intuitive, the graphics are extraordinary, what can I say?? I already started it over again for the 3rd time!!! The delivery was performed amazingly fast and properly safe and sound due to the very well packaging!!! Cheers.
So, in conclusion, I would gladly call The Last of Us the best game I have ever played. Beautiful graphics and environments are accompanied by equally beautiful voice acting, courtesy of Troy Baker, Ashley Johnson and the supporting cast. An unpredictable storyline constantly keeps you hooked on the games events, which is supported by tension filled encounters and interesting gameplay mechanics. The online also left a lasting impression on me, as being both innovative and original in its own right. Some say that no game can ever be perfect, and they're right. But The Last of Us is no game - its an art form.
The Last of Us is a very good game - the game play isn't all that but the atmosphere, graphics, soundtrack and story make up for that. It definitely is a better game than any of the Uncharted games, it's much more mature and brutal (you can blow off limbs) The story seems kind of cliché at first, but finds its own way later on, as does the overall game. The first 3-5 hours were very underwhelming much like Uncharted 3, where the pacing starts to pick up in the second half, in The Last of Us fortunately it picks up at the second quarter of the game. The Last of Us is definitely one the the better games on the PS3, and if you enjoy third person games in general I would definitely recommend it.
Naughty Dog has made a brave decision developing The Last of Us (props also go to Sony for allowing their team to create an action game that breaks with genre conventions). It appears that they have decided to create a realistic take on the currently hugely popular 'zombie apocalypse' setting - and have succeeded mostly. Never did I get the impression that the plot was altered in any way to get it more streamlined. On the contrary, while the single encounters are all very tense and engaging, there is no real story arc. In addition, main character Joel has more flaws than virtues, which separates him from a typical, likable protagonist. I also approve of the game play, as it does many things right which I think is wrong with current action games. There is no regular cover-system (you have to put your character behind cover yourself instead of pushing a button next to a wall), ammo is scarce, stealth is mandatory, death comes fast and the action is as brutal as it should be - it does not feel nice to smash somebody's head in, it feels disgusting. These are all points which I think very highly of, as they show Naughty Dog really created the game they wanted instead of the game which they thought would resonate best with the players. The last thing I would like to mention is that the NPC companions are actually helpful in this game instead of being nuisances - although they may sometimes cause a huge dent in the atmosphere as they can not be spotted by enemies unless the player has been spotted before. This means that, while sneaking, Ellie may run into an enemy without alerting them. All in all, it's a game that I hold very dear and of which I hope becomes influential for mainstream gaming in the future. I would like more games that show character like this one.
Could not wait for The Last of Us to come out! The game got so much hype beforehand and I am pleased to say it lived up to the expectations! Storyline and characters had me hooked from the start and one night I played it until 2 in the morning as I couldn't turn it off! Graphics, voice acting and animation are superb (the best I've seen in a game so far!). Gameplay is brutal and intense and some bits I thought were quite creepy! This has surpassed uncharted in my opinion as the best game I've ever played and definitely playstations greatest exclusive to date! Buy it and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!
The Last of Us is The Best of Them and by them I mean the Naughty Dog team. Yet again they've created an incredible video game experience similar set up to the Uncharted series but in a post apocalyptic city. You control Joel, a survivor who has been living in this new world for 20 years and must now protect a fiesty young girl who has a potentially life changing secret against gangs and the dreaded infected. This really is the game of the year for me and it will be difficult to beat. The graphics are amazing and the creative gameplay is exciting and heart pounding at times. Shame it won't be on Playstation 4 but hoping the sequel will be.
Naughty Dog do it again! If you've played other games by Naughty Dog and liked them you will really like The Last of Us as well. Brilliant story line, actually watched the start twice which makes you really feel for the guy. Yes, certain features are like Uncharted but with that series being so good it can only be a plus and not a negative.
