PS3 owners of Portal 2 can play against PC and Mac owners of Portal 2 (via steam). This will also allow them FREE access to the PC/Mac version of Portal 2.
Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following.
The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game.
The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

Great game, especially when you can play split screen with a 2nd player, however the levels can become hard to understand / figure out as you progress further along the game.
Great platinum title that sucks you in. Multiplayer is awesome and single player is just as fun. I didn't play the first title but now I might.
Portal 2 is an addictive game like no other, this game will get you stuck on your controller for long hours. This is the kind of game in which you have to take a break and think for a while, instead of killing everything in your sight, which I find very refreshing and enjoyable. Amazing game.
Hours of great fun guaranteed as your mind will try to "think in portals". The story line is great (even better if you followed the 1st part of the Portal series) and stuffed with great humour. And when you're done with the single player mode, there is a great multiplayer co-op to crack on. Just buy this game and play it, great fun guaranteed - I had fun and will definitely come back to this one more in the future.
Valve more than makes up for the earlier neglect of PS3 gamers. Second Portal, capitalizing on the great success of the first game, is a wonderful game. The Steam integration is something not to be overlooked - by buying the PS3 version you are essentially getting two copies; one for the console and one for your PC, so you can play the cross-platform coop right away. If that doesn't make it great value for money then I don't know what does!
Portal 2 is an excellent game! Amazing! Very fun!
One of the best games I've ever played. The story and puzzles are really good. No wonder according to gamespot this game is GOTY 2011. If you're a gamer, you must try Portal 2.
Game of the year of the year 2010. In my opinion one of the best stories to be told via game [in the single player]. It manages to top portal in every aspect, and that is saying something. In addition there is a co op mode with a different narrative so its 2 games in one. A good buy for everyone who is deeper than a shooter fan. Do your self a favor and buy it NOW!
From the genius minds of Portal here comes a sequel which, while it does not redefine what it did, it iterates upon it so well that you'll love it even more than the first. If you did not play the first, not to worry, Portal 2 is a stand-alone title of it's own and it does a great job of getting you immersed in the massive, underground facility of Aperture Science where you will be forced to solve tests and stay alive long enough to hopefully to escape the psychopathic, test-loving robot overlord. To help you out on your quest, you have the Portal Gun, a unique device that is capable of bending the very fabric of space by creating two portals connected to each other. This unique mechanic allows you to make use of your imagination and wits to solve puzzles like never before thought possible. The adventure is tied together with fantastic characters like GLaDoS (the aforementioned robot overlord) and Wheatley (voiced by british comedian Stephen Merchant) which means that while you're not out breaking the laws of physics, you'll be in your couch laughing aloud the whole time.
While there are other games that may arguably be better in singleplayer campaign, Portal 2 shines when it comes to co-op. Split-screen co-op, PSN co-op, Steam PS3-with-PC co-op - what game can possibly compete with that? On top of that PS3 version of Portal 2 includes one activation code for Steam version of the game. Verdict: great game, great value for your money
I love this game! It's clean, it's simple, it's well designed. It has a great story with some light-hearted humour. Steven Merchant as Wheatley was a great choice to give some "heart" to an otherwise "humanless" environment. The sound and graphics are amazing, and the physics is exceptional. The idea of using portals to navigate through levels is brilliant and unique. It's a perfect example of thinking outside the box. Rather than trying to mimic real-world physics, they decided to completely bend all the rules and play with virtual-world physics. And I love this end theme song just as much as the first.
Game of The Year. Excellent Game. Puzzles and gameplay is one of the best game of 2011. Absolutely amazing. Every gamer have to play this game.
The long awaited sequel for Portal, the ground breaking game from Valve, had finally arrived. This game takes the puzzle, platforming and even the first person shooter genres to a higher level. Despite some people might say, this game is, in fact, quite lenghty, because of the co-op feature which equals the single player campaign in its excellence. Just make sure to turn the subtitles on before you start playing, because of the dialogue in the game. It had me rolling over the floor several times. ;) This game was well worth the wait, and at the ridiculous price of a mere 24 pounds (love The Hut), this purchase is definitely a no-brainer.
I didnt quite give myself the chance to play it yet because I do not want to get addicted but my girlfriend is playing it 24/7 although she is not into gaming and she does not like the fact that I got a PS3 console in the first place. Now she is super happy and she changed her mind. All because of Portal 2. She says it is a totally unique experience.
Ordered this game for my son, it was delivery very quickly and was well packaged. This was the best price by far on the net and I searched all over for it. It is a combination of a shoot'em up with puzzles from what I can gather from my son. Way too complicated for me but my 12 year old loves it. Well done PS3 well done the HUT
A magnificient game by all means : good graphics, wonderful storytelling and solo mode. The local/online coop is unique and could be considered a must-buy in itself ! You love games or/and puzzles, try portal 2 !
Portal 2 was everything I ever hoped it would be. Valve digs in deep and shows you the epic size of the staggering facility while providing a very interesting back story. Great writing and voice acting entertain as you force your brain to think in weird ways. The portal gun is the same as it was in the original, but there are some new additions to the puzzle solving. Specifically, the propulsion and repulsion gel which, when mixed with the portals, can make for some awesome and mind-bending solutions. The game is gorgeous to look at and refreshingly fun. Too often, games at this level of hype and budget receive treatment that makes them artificially longer with side quests, recycling, and back-tracking. Not here. Portal 2 has a very noticeable forward flow, and that is what pulls you in until the end, leaving you satisfied while wanting more. Due to PSN issues, I haven't finished the equally long co-op campaign, but what I did play is every bit as good as going at it alone. This is a quality game with lots of replay value. Oh, and there is no cake.
I have shopped at the hut several times now and have found them to be the best price in most things, including Portal 2. This game is an addicting and immersive game where you use portals to solve puzzles, moving you onto the next level. With an brilliant story line, a gripping co-op and at a great price, It's a bargain!
Portal 2 is the sequel to Portal, which is a well known Part of the Orange Box. Gameplay You shoot with your Portal Gun to create a whormhole to another place. This is needed to solve the Testing Room you are currently in. You have a whole bundle of more abilities you can use. Like the light bridge, jumping gel, etc. ... Story You will have a lot of fun. Portal has a short, but very awesome and funny story. In Portal 2 you will be more satisified with an longer enduring period of funniest A.I jokes ever. Multiplayer Here you can play with a friend of yours to solve the testing room togehter ... but beware! 2 Portal Guns means more difficult testing rooms. All in all ... Portal 2 is a milestone in gaming history. I think if you never played Portal and had the portal effect once, you can not call yourself a gamer.
Sequel to the groundbreaking Portal, which came along in '07 as part of the 'Orange Box'. Primarily a puzzle game, Portal 2 adds to the fun of the original by upping the size of the play area and giving the player new challenges to overcome both off and online. Whilst most halflife players had whizzed through the original Portal in only a couple of short hours, Portal 2 offers a much more engaging and lengthy single player mode and virtually endless online replay value. With improved graphics and physics too this game easily hits a 5/5 rating.
The first Portal set a benchmark for future games with it's inventive challenges and compelling storyline. Portal 2 took where the original left off, and with superb results. The challenges are just as fun as the original but with greater depth with the same applying to the story. There was not a single moment of the game that I did not enjoy! It was exciting, innovative but most of all heaps of fun!
Portal 2 is the sequel to the successful Sat Portal that included in The Orange Box. In Portal 2 is intended to shoot portals in the wall so the player can come to a place that could not otherwise reach. Unlike the first part is an addition to the single player co-op mode which contain puzzles made especially for two people. There are, besides the original character, two new characters.
