Developed by Guerrilla Games, Killzone 2 is the highly anticipated first person shooter created exclusively for PlayStation 3. The sequel brings players into a highly detailed, ultra-realistic theatre of war that truly leverages the processing power of the PS3 system.

Following events and action from the original Killzone for PlayStation 2, two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is taking the fight to the enemy's home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is direct: capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt.

Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and a member of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will lead a group of highly trained soldiers on a mission to take out the Helghast threat. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA. Sev discovers his squad isn't just fighting enemy forces - their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself.

After its stunning preview trailers released years in advance, Killzone 2 has built up a huge amount of anticipation. It’s been a long wait, but Killzone 2 delivers on its promises and gives players one of the most visually impressive PlayStation 3 titles to date. Taking place two years after the events of Killzone on the PlayStation 2, the ISA has taken their fight against invading Helghast forces directly to their home world, with the hope of capturing their emperor, crippling their attack from within. Players take the role of Sev, a veteran of Special Forces team The Legion, on his fight against the Helghast menace.

With the scale of the original Killzone now hugely increased, the true scale of the Helghast battle is on show, with enemies and allies littering the screen and destructible environments adding to the atmosphere. Killzone weapon classics such as the M82-G make a return, along with a fresh collection of firearms and vehicles.
