Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a good action adventure with a great emphasis on the storytelling. You go on and on playing, just to see the next cinematic sequence and enjoy the way the plot unfolds. This game is a definite must buy in my opinion.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the west

A curious game. Embrace different types and different categories but it is mostly an action game, puzzle and movements like prince of persia. Combat like uncharted or vanishing. The story is probably the weak point but all the rest is good. It is quite a good game to be played.

Ninja Theory did it again. After playing Heavenly Sword i was looking forward for an was expecting the best gaming experience. And it came true. Great story with well rendered cutscenes, great two main Characters, beautifully designed world, unique connection between Monkey and Trip... The battle system is quite easy but for me still very entertaining till the end. So for everybody who likes this type of games this is one of the best choices available right now...

This was a great game with a lot of exciting sequences. The only problem I had was that it was way too short. I played it through over only two days. The story had so much more to offer. Other than that it was a fine game. Buy it (the next time it is) on sale.

Very good game

This game was a big suprise for me (positive). I expected a slasher-type game, something like Bayonetta, but Enslaved is different. First - story, characters, dialogs are amazing! You will love Monkey, Pigsy. World is fantastic, beautiful scenery and coloristic. I'm really enjoyed playing this game. The only thing I did not like in this game, are moments, when You have to jumps, climbs - they are to simply!

Charming

Enslaved is a curious mix of absolutely excellent, top-notch story, acting and general flair, and some occasionally frustrating and uninspired gameplay. The gameplay is a mix of uncharted-style platforming and puzzle-solving and mostly melee combat, which is fun, if not particularly original or compelling. The script was written by Hollywood writer Alex Garland, and it shows - the dialogue in particular is a massive cut above the usual gaming fare. You may be disappointed if you're looking for an extraordinary *game*, but certainly not if you're looking for an extraordinary *experience*.

Characters are cool, funny. Enviroment reminds me about 1st Uncharted. No online game but sometimes i think it´s better that way. Orbs are hard to find so i´m gonna play this again and again so i´ll get all collective stuff.

The Game's characters may be new to the scene but the creators of this game did a great job; it reminds me of what Rare has done back in the nineties on the N64. A good story with excellent gameplay (not one minute boring) - Already looking forward to Part 2.

Enslaved is a good adventure game; it shows very interesting characters; they have a special relationship between them. However, the game is too easy. The platforms are very simple and the shooting part shows a simple challenge for the player. I'm missing a multiplayer cooperative mode for this game, but, in general terms, is a good game

I somehow missed the game when it came out and decided to get a copy now. This is a great game that combines third person action games elements with some RPG ones. The characters are beautifully designed and the story keeps you sucked in till the end. Voice acting is also top notch. Highly recommended!

Epic. That describes this title.

I heard good things about this game, but it sorta appeared out of thin air. This game is great, though - everything feels really well-produced. The cut scenes are awesome, the animation and voice acting is REALLY good, and the environments are just so, so pretty. You play as monkey, a musclebound hulk with a mysterious past, and the other, small-framed, technically minded female character, Trip, plays Monkey. Sort of. Monkey has been enslaved by Trip in order to get her to where she needs to go. That's the absolute basics, you'll need to play it to get more. The plot is excellent though - unlike modern games where pacing is sorta forced on you and the obvious plot is thrown in your face, things are a bit more subtle and engaging here. If you're after a great looking action game with an interesting plot and set of characters, you should pick this up. There's a nice balance of humour and maturity which appeals to my age bracket. So yeah, the game has been overlooked and perhaps it's not sold as well as it could've, but it's definitely one of the best games you can buy, so you should buy it.

Here you will not feel that because the paths highlight to show where monkey should go. I also love the look of the game, great colours. I say you should try it.

Good game, with some negative aspects that don't let it reach a higher rating. Very good history, great voices and OST. Battle parts are quite good, but there are better hack n slash. The worst point of the game is the jumping levels, those brilliant platforms pointing you where to jump... deadly easy!! This makes the game too lineal. The good stuff: battles are entertaining, the diversity of situations, graphics are notable. Not a bad buy, most if price is reduced. By the way, looking forward for the next Ninja Theory project, I'm sure they'll do better than this one!

I bought this after playing the demo from the Sony PS Store, and while the gameplay can be a bit samey, the story and the graphics are just so damn good ! I finished this on normal difficulty in a week, and I'm by no means a hardcore gamer, so if you have more time on your hands than me - you might finish it quicker. There is DLC available, but at £8 is almost the same price I paid for the main game. There's rumours of a sequel, even though the developers say they NEVER do franchises, but I hope they do as I'd love to see the continuation of the MONKEY story and explore the universe ENSLAVED is set in more. 9/10 for Story, Graphics and Sound 7/10 for Gameplay

Simply Awesome.

I read mixed reviews of this game before buying it...but i went ahead and bought it anyway. Its thoroughly enjoyable in every way! Sure, the action could be a bit more frequent, some of the cut scenes are a bit glitchy and the camera did annoy me for a few seconds sometimes - but the story is solid, the music is perfect and when the action is there, its amazing! The levels and surroundings are jaw droppingly gorgeous and the voice acting is better than most big budget blockbuster films today. If your a fan of action adventure games, you can't NOT get this one. I found playing Enslaved is like watching a film that i was a main character in. Simply awesome!
