Driver: San Francisco Platinum is excellent.
The game hits the "sweet spot" for car-game nuts that like the games with a more refined driving physics. It's fun and easy to learn, but the driving model is detailed enough to be more challenging when driving more powerful cars (but not to the point that it gets frustrating), thus is very rewarding and more fun to play. And you can't go wrong with a game that lets you drive anything from a minute Cygnet to an 18-wheeler. A really memorable game. 5/5
If you think first person view is what car games are all about, then Driver: San Francisco is a must for you. Of course you have plenty of view and you can play from toy car view, bumper view, etc. But first person view is really what makes this game excellent. You can burn the rubber, feel the power, put pedal to the metal with your Viper and lose the grip. And lose the car. Or take your "FF" Alfa Romeo 156 and feel how it handles differently. Game has interesting "shift" mode which at first feels idiotic but after a while you start to appreciate it. Why drive cars around the city to your next destination or back to somewhere, when you can shift and loan an appropriate car. At least in the beginning when you are short on cash, loaning a car is a nice option. And of course later on in the game just to feel the wind, test a car, put your brain in the trash bin and loan a wandering Lamborghini. If you are a car game enthusiast wanting to enjoy an especially good car game on your PS3, then Driver: San Francisco is a must. Just like Midnight Club LA & Dirt's. And it's shamelessly cheap. Try it and feel the 1st person view nostalgia (those Commodore 64 days in the 80's) as I did.
Driver: San Francisco Platinum smells like a classic!
I have received my product very quickly and in an excellent condition, as always with thehut.com. The game is good and with that low price, you must buy it, you will have fun and a good experience. The graphics are good (not excellent). The online is good also.
I've been looking to buy this game for a while and I saw the hut had it for a great price which I said to myself I had to buy. The delivery on the produce was fast which was impressive I would definitely recommend this game to a friend or a pure driver fan the graphics have been upgraded since the past games and the story line is just like a movie This is a great buy and you would be a fool not to buy it...
