If you've been dreaming about paradise, we know a place where you can make those dreams come true--the Island of Banoi. Just off the coast of Papua New Guinea, located south of the Equator and just north of Australia. Until very recently much of the island was wild and primitive and totally untouched by the modern world. Even though the capital, Moresby, was founded by Australian settlers in 1895, many places deep in the interior still have never been seen by western eyes. As a guest of the Royal Palms Resort, the player's stay was supposed to be a dream holiday; a luxurious getaway to the beautiful beaches of a tropical paradise. But faced with the reality of a zombie apocalypse, there is only one thing left to do: Survive.
Game Of The Yeat Edition Includes:
This is Dead Island... a paradise to die for...
Terror. Violence. Madness. Bedlam. A holiday paradise gone mad. A tropical island turns into total chaos after a mysterious zombie outbreak. Cut off from the rest of the world, the player’s only chance to survive is to fight to the death and find a way to escape from the island. Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features are presented in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and engrossing campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode.
Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies await players around every corner while they embark on a variety of thrilling missions through the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition being scarce the player must rely on utilising found items as weapons for self-defence and fight off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and will later serve to transform the player’s ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction. In addition to satisfying even the most bloodthirsty action fan’s fantasy, Dead Island also features role-playing elements which allow the player to develop one of the game’s unique character classes according to their preferences, all the while learning new skills and fresh tactics during their journey through the perilous environments of the island. What’s more, anytime during a game up to four players can seamlessly join together and experience the intense combat and immersive story with cooperative gameplay.
With the all-new Chrome Engine 5 powering Dead Island, the game will use the latest installment of Techland’s acclaimed proprietary game engine, allowing the player to experience the tropical island paradise in graphical splendour with diverse environments like lush forests and detailed city environments.

If you like to kill zombies then this game is a must!
Fantastic! Great game from the hut, a full 5 stars from me!
Lots of things to do and areas to explore, lots of fun solo or multiplayer. My expectations were go all out and Dead Island did not disappoint. An interesting and fun RPG set in a world with lots of zombies.
An original game that you will enjoy if you like zombie's theme. Now with all the DLC. A must have.
Dead Island is NOT a survival horror. It's a Borderlands-like first person RPG with a horror setting. It's nice, good looking, fun (especially in multiplayer, if you have some friends to play with: we just bought 3 copies so me and my friends can play together) and huge. There are many quests (and sometimes it can be a bit repetitive), but it's engaging and manages to deliver many zombie-linked clichés in a fun way. I'd recommend this to everyone who wishes to spend some hours with his friends, butchering zombies and running away from them. Too bad the plot is really light and undeveloped (and that's a pity, as the launch trailer was so deep and moving) and death is not a real issue: the four characters you can choose from (5, in this GOTY edition) are immune to the infection, plus when you die, you get respawned not far from the action, making this game just a caution of try and error instead of a zombie apocalypse to be afraid of. Again, once you know what you're buying, you'll find many good ideas and mechanics to tinker with. Multiplayer is highly recommended as it can double the fun.
I love the Game because it mixes up two genres I enjoy playing.(survival horror/splatter and RPG) on one side you can kill thousands of zombies and on the other side you can level up your character and your skills ,you can learn more skills and you can take on a lot of quests. The atmosphere of the game is excellent. It feels strange in a positive way. just imagine a beautiful holiday site with look onto the sea and there is a lot of green .and at that location you become overrun by a horde of rotten zombies. The graphics are very good, it catches greatly the feeling of the game, but you have seen better ones on the ps3. The game is very violent and rude, I hope your stomach can handle it.
Dead Island is an amazing co-op or single player zombie hack and slash game. Huge amounts of freedom, amazing concept, let down a little by small glitches and lag spikes on console but well worth it. For the DLC content, the main moneys worth is in the Ryder White campaign, which was very well done, and the bloodbath arena which is endless amounts of fun.
