Borderlands is a great game! I started playing Borderlands 2 with my girlfriend, but I should have started with the first Borderlands game, as the graphics and layout of Borderlands 2 are better. (As my girlfriend pointed out to me) But! this is still a great game worth playing! So I would recommend buying both games, and introduce them to a buddy, loved one, or just play solo. With a few hours looking for chest's,fighting enemies, picking up loot, and upgrading both your character and equipment you'll be hooked!

Borderlands game of the year edition

Great game well worth the money. It's not realistic with the graphics but that's made up from the game being challenging and fun. Makes a great multiplayer game either online or split screen. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game with my other half. Would recommend game for anyone looking for a good paced shooter with quests

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition

Really addictive. I've been playing it almost non-stop since I got it. It also looks like it has a really long duration, is a very complete game, cool weapons, missions... etc. Maybe it lacks a better story but personally I don't care too much about that. The graphics are somehow both weird and cool. It also has offline multiplayer, which I appreciate, because lately all games are online and few games allow you to play with a person by your side. I recommend this game to people who like shooters/RPGs like Fallout 3.

BORDERLANDS GOTY Edition

Well anyone who has ever played games knows about this one. A great first person shooter with role playing elements, or as we geeks like to say it a great FPS with RPG elements. Because of The Hut I got this game with all of its downloadable content or DLC, couldn't be more happy, the game arrived in perfect condition.

FPS and cRPG fusion

If you like fast-paced first person perspective shooters with a good dose of RPG in the post-apocalyptic world, this is a certainly position for you. The plot is not a work of the highest calibre, but the fun factor and the fact that you see all these experience points oozing out on your screen, while blasting through hundreds of enemies, is priceless. Same with the amount of guns available - there are literally millions of guns to be obtained and everyone fells just brilliant. Graphics is great, but you must like a specific comic style. Check out the screens and you will get the picture straight away. How long? If you got involved, it'd give you 100+ hours of fun, shooting, exploring and looting. Definitely a great game for rainy days. One more thing - invite your friend to join a party - coop is the best!

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition

This game its a fallout with some diablo loot style,i think its the best game if you like running in a big land killing people and animals with a chance to drop a powerful weapon after every kill, you can choose 4 character to play and every one has his own ability and talents. You can also play all the quests and dungeons online with up to 4 friends from all the world, its not a game released recently but there are a lot of people playing online from level 2 to level 60 (so you can get help from a same level pg or from a high level pg as well)

Borderlands

The original release of this game was a very enjoyable combination of First Person Shooter and RPG, with a very good storyline. With one of the largest range of weapons I've ever come across in any game I've ever played. This Game of the Year re-release comes with some excellent add ons which extends the game-play with some fun storylines.

welcome to an addictive adventure

this is a must buy game for RPG,FPS fans. graphics-4/5 sound-5/5 gameplay-4/5 value-5/5 the goty edition has 4 dlc packs out of which 3 are amazing and 1 is fair.good game for offline co-op for 2 and 4 for online co-op. game is about 40 hours long and dlc about another 40 or so. story is fairly interesting, but ending is not satisfying. overall a game worth your time and money. if the Add ons were on disc, instead of codes it would have been better. overall 4.5/5

Crazy Action Shooter

Let me begin by saying this is not your standard FPS (First Person Shooter) because it incorporates all the best features of RPG's (Role Playing Games). The great thing about this is that if you like either of these game genres, you will love this game. The world is vivid with colour, crazy with action and character advancement which is addictive. You play as one of four characters each with their own abilities and each very different to the next. The game is so diverse that you could easily play with the same character three times and still get enough variation between them to be unique. As story goes you are essentially a treasure hunter looking for some vault which is shrouded in mystery and could contain any number of things: POWER, MONEY, FAME, and your quest involves finding it. One of the best added features of Borderlands is the DLC (downloadable content) of the online console network. There are a variety to choose from but the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition comes with download coupons/tokens which entitle you to a FREE download of every DLC available for the game. This game is a must for any RPG/FPS fan. 9/10

Never ending gameplay......almost

I bought the original borderlands on release and I'm currently on my 6th playthrough with each of the DLC adding something new every time. Somehow gearbox have managed to make repetition fun! The cell shaded type graphics make it feel stylish and the script full of humour and pop culture. OK, the single player aspect isn't where this game excels it's all about the multiplayer, So much so that when the girlfriend moved in recently we have a multiple TV/system link set up right next to each other. You really need at least a second person to play with. The Game only has 2 official playthroughs with, obviously, the enemies getting tougher and weapons getting better 2nd time round, but after you've done that there's a need to do it all again with one of the other 4, well balanced, characters each with there own special ability and level up path. Then once you've levelled up to the max, you can always reset your stats and spend the points you've earned totally changing the feel of your character. As for the DLC.....I really recommend playing them in order first time round. You can jump to any of the areas from any time but the story flows better and you really need to be up in the level 30s before you attempt some of the enemies. A lot of the extras that came with each pack will lose some of their appeal when buying the GOTY edition. Increased level cap, additional weapon types and the such will be available as soon as you've downloaded the extras but hay ho. They're still worth it. Zombie Island. Who doesn't like shooting zombies? There's not a massive change in gameplay, nor is there special zombie related weapons. In fact, it's just more of the same but that really isn't a bad thing plus you get to shoot zombies in the face and collect their brains......its fun! Underdome Riot. This is basically a survial mode. Wave upon wave of enemies that you have to gun down relentlessly. What a shame. This is, i think, the least popular DLC out of the four but has merit if all you want to do is kill stuff. No 5 minute car rides from point A-B, just run around a small map, shooting stuff......oh yeah.....It's freeking HARD!!!!! Secret Armory. Back to story based missions and again, more of the same. But now you have 3 cars to choose from and the hardest boss ever!!! Crawmerax. What a git. There's more huge maps to explore, different enemies, and some great NPCs. Robot Revolution. Upsettingly short but again, great story.... characters....blah blah blah. Look out for the area with the best gun stash of all!!!!!! All in all, you will not regret buying this game. Sorry for the long review but believe me, I've barely scratched the surface of this game.
