At this price, i had to buy two.
I bought two of these because the price was so low that I figured it would make an excellent present for a relative. Its rare to see these games here in Canada which is why I'm usually ordering overseas as the adventure genre is huge there. There is a feeling of a great achievement when you solve a puzzle that you've spent days (even weeks or months if you refuse to use a walk through) to figure out. Though this game shouldn't be a real brain twister with the puzzles like a game like Myst or Rhem can do, you'll go through a steady pace and enjoy the characters and the humor they all add to the story. The company who developed this game is the same company behind the fantastic Runaway series which is one of my favorite series in the adventure genre. If you've played Runaway then you'll for sure enjoy this game as well, check out an adventure review site if you want a run down on the whole story, I won't go into any spoilers here.

For the lovers of point and click adventure game, this game is an instant buy! Pendulo Studios is a great development team and this game is very funny and has some pretty visuals and locations. The only problem is the short story...
The Next Big Thing
In a lot of ways The Next Big Thing feels like the kind of game that Lucasarts would be making if they hadn't dropped adventure games like a stone all those years ago. The game packs some quality writing and voice acting. It has a fairly large cast of suitably wacky characters and some reasonably challenging, but logical puzzles. The whole game is very polished graphically. In fact I don't have a bad thing to say about it. This is what a modern adventure game should be.
