Description

You play as Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes.

Badly wounded during the attack, you have no choice but to become mechanically augmented and you soon find yourself chasing down leads all over the world, never knowing who you can trust. At a time when scientific advancements are turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path.
You need to discover where that path lies. Because when all is said and done, the decisions you take, and the choices you make, will be the only things that can change it.

Features:

  • A Divided Near-future: discover a time of great technological advancement, but also a time of chaos and conspiracy. Mechanical augmentations of the human body have divided society between those who can afford them, and those who can't. Opposing forces conspire from the shadow to control the destiny of mankind: a human revolution is coming.
  • A Perfect Mix of Action and Role-play: the game uniquely combines action-packed close-quarter takedowns with intense shooting, offering a vast array of character augmentations and upgrades for the many weapons at your disposal. Unlock new abilities and increase your stealth, social, hacking or combat skills: the game rewards all styles of play and approaches. Determine how you want your character to evolve, based on how you want to play the game.
  • Choices and Consequences: shoot your way through your enemies, sneak up behind them without being traced, hack systems to retrieve crucial information, or use your social skills to extract information from key characters--there are always choices, multiple approaches, multiple paths and multiple tools at your disposal. Choose your playing style and face the consequences of your actions: you decide how the story unfolds.

Awesome game

Definitely worth your time - wonderful graphics, excellent gameplay. I choose to play as a stealthy hacker. The only annoyance are the few points in the game where combat is actually required.

Deus EX - Human Revolution

Seems to be pretty good so far having only played for a few hours or so, but I'm not loving it like the original and I get a little bored with it after a while. Time will tell but I don't think its a classic.

A must have in a player's collection!

If you have ever wondered how our future could be, if cyborgs and humans could have a common way in the path of evolution, and if, of course, you have ever played to Deus Ex 1 (Yep, the "every time you mention it, someone will reinstall it" game), so you have to play this game! At this price and with the delivery quality of The Hut, it would be a very sad error to miss this opportunity.

First a little about how payment and shipping: Can be a little difficult to understand all the formalities for a person who is not growing up with English, but nothing that is impossible. I like the page remembers which items you put in the basket even if you close page. The prices from this page are among the lowest going to find on the market in today's camp, with some exceptional cases, a little boring just that you have to pay fractions per thing you buy. Other pages have a shipping charge no matter how much you buy, there are also those who have free shipping if you buy more than 60 euros. Now to the game: I know there are those who think this is among the best games of 2011, I'm not one of them. At the beginning of the game you have a choice how you want to take out your enemies, kill / stun from far or near. I chose bedöving from a distance with stun darts. They just go to buy the first part of the game, then you have to rely on luck or other methods. This is a game that you can get killed very easily, however, you can update your shield something, if this is a good or bad is where you prefer but I think it's something good for you must use your brain for once. This is a great game especially if you like fantis games. I give it 7 / 10

A Great Game!

If you are looking for a game with a good story, great shooting mechanism, great characters and a game that just looks amazing, you should just order this game right away. I was one of those who didn't play the previous games in the Deus Ex series, but I gave this a try after many promo trailers and its a great game. I'm currently playing through it for the second time, and I loving every minute. I like that you can be very sneaky or just go all psycho and killing everybody. The game is good in the thought that you can do what ever you like, just as long you get to the exit alive.

Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution

Amazing game with a new dimension and game play, explore ways of defecting your enemies, making use of your tactical skills rather then just shooting your way out. Worth the money, especially now reduced to £12.

Deus Ex Indeed

Second sequel to the legendary Deus Ex, Deus Ex 3 succeeds to find balance between complexity and entertainment. It isn't quite as complicated as the first one, but in many ways it's much easier to enjoy it. The world of deus ex is a fascinating vision of near future, where corporations rule and fight wars with each other while governments are too corrupt and weak to interfere. Money is everything. Human augmentantions are the newest way to strike a wedge between the rich and the poor, only the rich are allowed to overcome their human limitations. Some call it the next stage in human evolution, others the end of mankind. Aside the setting and the world, the strongest asset in Deus Ex 3 is the element of choice. The game can be played through several different styles including stealth, hacker and shooting. Often it is necessary to combine different styles depending on the situation. There are always multiple paths to reach your goal and the game encourages you to explore the world. Play areas could be bigger, but now they are adequate. The enemy AI isn't too bright, but it shows the most if you play the game as shooter. In other styles the illusion is better. There should be more side quests, but at least there are no irrelevant quests. What is there is good. The biggest disappoinments are the static world and the notorious boss fights. There are far too few people to interact with and the world doesn't much react to players actions. Only few objects can be destoyed or moved, most of the are boxes. Still the biggest failure lies in the boss fights, because they strip off the element of choice in your play style. You are forced to play those sessions as a shooter. The atmosphere is totally different compared to rest of the game. Which is of course explained by that boss fights were developed by a whole different team and added to the game in later stage, Luckily there aren't too many boss fights, but they really do break the immersion. Still the game is a fascinating experience and one you shouldn't miss if you are fan of the RPG and action genres. But if your idea of fun is playing CODs single player campaign, this may not be the game for you. It provides the biggest satisfaction when you really dive in it, play it slowly, search and learn about the game world and not just run through it guns blazing.

Great but not the best

First to say, if you loved Deux Ex games, you will love this one too. It could have been better, but still a great successor.

Strong contender for Game of the Year in my opinion. The sheer number of choices and customisations available is wonderful. This is a very open game where every choice counts and you can play according to your style of play (stealth, blow em up, etc.). Story is deeply immersive and gunfights are very solid. Also lots of different fun sidegames like hacking. Although if you're a fan of the original Deus Ex you might find things a bit too different for your liking (regenerating health, etc.). Only let down is the boss fights; for a game that touts multiple choices the boss fights essentially gives you none. Its like Shoot, Cover, Shoot, Cover, etc. Still a wonderful game and should definitely consider buying this, espically with the incredible price TheHut is offering it for :)

A Blast From The Past

If you loved the original Deus Ex then you'll love this. It's a different game in a lot of ways, but it still has the same feel as the original. Fantastic. If you're new to Deus Ex, but you like RPGs / shooters, give this a go, you wont be disappointed.

Great game.

The first Deus Ex is easily my favourite game of all time, despite the curious gameplay flaws. While I enjoyed DX: Invisible War, it was nowhere near the quality of the original title. Fortunately, Human Revolution is a fantastic title and a worthy followup. If you are new to the series (or old for that matter) there is no point in discussing the plot since it twists and turns all over the place. You play Adam Jensen, the chief of security of a firm that creates augmentations for humans. There's an attack at your workplace and you almost die. Despite your injuries you survive and you have these special augmentations installed into you which you upgrade over the course of the game. Abilities such as invisibility, super strength - among others. It plays like a RPG despite it being a shooter. The character upgrades retains the same depth as the original despite no skill system. Something that DX: IW really dropped the ball with. Combat and stealth in the game works fine. Stealth is a much more feasible option compared to the previous games. Although combat is easier since it is a cover based shooter. Unfortunately there are boss fights, which seem great but you must fight them. Unfortunately you can't runaway from these people and perhaps bump into them later on. From a technical standpoint the game looks great, then again I'm not too picky. Levels are nice and large. Sound is well implemented. My minor gripes with the game is when I compare it to the original. The characters aren't as memorable with a shorter play time. The game did crash on me once or twice. Strongly recommended.

Deus ex: HR is an excellent game in almost everything. The gameplay is an intelligent fusion between metal gear solid and splinter cell, but with an original touch (namely, new gameplay mechanics and alternative sneaking routes). The game is also extremely flexible and allows multiple gameplay styles, not necessarily stealth only. The plot, but we should say the narration in a broader sense, is one of the best pieces of script you will ever encounter in a game. DE: HR presents you with a vibrant, realistic cyberpunk world, in which you imperson Adam Jensen, chief security officer for the Sarif Corporation, one of the leaders in cybernetic prosthetics. It will be up to you to decide how to influence the future... Note to readers: this is an adult game, not only in the visual but also in the narrative department. it dives into profound moral and social topics which touch everyone sometime in their life: adjust your expectations accordingly (in other words, this is not a light pastime).

Worthy predescessor

Most definitely one of the games of the year. Deus Ex Human revolution is prequel of Deus Ex (2000.), and tells about human augumentation process in near future. The game reflects the atmosphere of first installment prefectly. Although DEHR is not so long or so deep into different play styles, the game still allows you to play trough multiple times and different ways. Overall time to spend on main campaign 6+ hours on each playtrough. And there`s additional DLC comming October 2011, with more content. Recommended not only to series fans, but people who likes advanced shooters with RPG elements. Deus Ex fans won`t be dissapointed neither.

Deus Ex is back and better than ever

Anyone who played the original Deus Ex game back in 2000 will remember the fantastic storyline and openendedness of gameplay, and how the decisions you made affected the game world. Deus Ex Human Revolution is the prequel to that game and tells the story about how David Sarif purchased an abandoned Detroit car manufactory and turned it into the world's largest robotic limb / augmetic plant Of course not everyone on the planet is happy that people are altering themselves by removing healthy limbs and replacing them with machines, while others are disgruntled because they cannot afford the surgery even if they need it, and this is where the story starts, where you play Adam Jensen, chief of security for Sarif Industries Saying too much past this would ruin the game for many, so on to the gameplay itself. The viewpoint is first person, and does involve the usual FPS gameplay element, but also has a large amount of RPG and exploration at it's heart. Many side missions open up if you talk to the residents of Detroit, and your actions (or lack of them) have a very real impact on what happens Graphics are certainly top of the line. My machine, although not top spec has a healthy £430 graphics card installed and does struggle if all settings are set to maximum, but as usual all settings are changable so you can adjust to a point where your machine can cope happily Sound effects and music are also very good and fit nicely into the game, although you'll find that if you talk to enough people, the same sound bites eventually recycle themselves All in all a very worthwhile game and well worth the price

I was apprehensive when buy this, scared they had dumbed down the content for the "console generation", so I was very happy when I found out it plays as well as the first one. Stealth is still viable, with lots of options available to the player. Hacking is fantastic, and the augmentation system is well implemented. The only draw back, is the graphics aren't as amazing as some PC games out at the moment (think Crysis 2, Witcher 2 etc), but they are still decent, and don't detract from the game much. If you like Action/RPG/Stealth/Hacking games, get this, you'll sink days into it!
