Back to Karkand is the first expansion for Battlefield 3, featuring four reimagined, classic Battlefield maps, ten new weapons and three new vehicles.
Four Reimagined Battlefield Maps:
Back to Karkand features four of the most beloved Battlefield 2 maps (Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman, Wake Island and Sharqi Peninsula), all fully re-imagined utilizing the power of the Frostbite 2 engine.
More Weapons, More Vehicles:
Enhance the signature Battlefield "Rock, Paper, Scissor" gameplay with an arsenal of ten new weapons that you can bring back to the base game and three new vehicles including the STOVL fighter jet, desert buggy, and an APC.
Enhanced Destruction:
Frostbite 2 creates a whole new level of life-like destruction. The enhanced destruction in this expansion pack lets you turn entire maps into rubble. Chip away at cover, blow holes in walls, and bring down building façades on enemies.
Conquest Assault:
Back to Karkand marks the return of the classic Conquest Assault mode from Battlefield 2. A slight twist on the beloved Conquest mode, Conquest Assault starts with one team commanding all flags on the map while the opposing team must assault and take the flags over in order to stop their tickets from bleeding down to zero.
Enhanced Persistence:
With the introduction of the all-new Assignments, Back to Karkand features an added layer of persistence on top of what is in the base game. With a vast range of unlockables and upgrades, the combined persistence in Battlefield 3 and Back to Karkand will keep players occupied even longer.
Personalized Dog Tags:
Players can express their individuality with five new dog tags including Dolphin Diving and One Man Army. Players can pick the design that showcases their play style best and show it off on the battlefield.

Very good game! Multiplayer is awesome !!! Go Marines! Go!
Battlefield 3 is a very nice FPS game, very realistic. Delivered fast, and in perfect condition!
To be honest, Battlefield 3 is the best game I have ever played on the computer. It's really a must have if you don't have it yet! Don't hesitate to buy it!
When I bought this game, I already knew that it was a great game but not that good. The graphism and the gameplay drag you in a total immersion, it seems like a real war but it's actually just a FPS game and the multiplayer is very well done. Battlefied 3 gives me chills ! VinceSoLiD
I can't say anything about the single player part, as I got hooked once I tried multiplayer. This games pushes the boundries regarding graphics and performance. I have the Intel I7 2600K, combined with GTX 580 (single), and it rips this game apart even at ultra. I can sit for hours, forgetting to walk the dogs, and other stuff I should've done instead. I have the soundsticks from Harmon Kardon, and the sound is absolutely fantastic. Lots of power from weapons, tanks shooting at you, grenades going off. Love the sound of explosions in the background. RUSH is a very amusing fast-paced mode, but with 64 players it might get a little too hectic. If you're going to play 64 players servers I recommend Conquest, as you can remember from the other Battlefield games. Every weapon can be modified with scopes and other enhancements. Even an old man like my self figured out how to do it. I've played most of the battlefield games, but this is by far the best. The vehicles are easy to maneuver, at least land based. When it comes to air units, I stay far away, and let the pros handle them. Why buy Battlefield you say? 1. Most people hate origin, but I actually like it (battlelog). It's very easy to see what your friends are up to, and easy to join servers. 2. Amazing (best I've seen) graphics, especially if you have a monster rig at home. 3. Great sound. 4. Excellent vehicle handling - Turn on CCR - Fortune son and find yourself a tank. You're gonna love the feeling of power when you roam the battlfield while kicking ass. 5. Different modes suits your needs.
It´s the best game i ever play. The more realist and fun to play with my friends.
Good offline game, awesome and fun online multiplayer mode, recommended.
Awesome game! I think the fact that the company spends millions of dollars in marketing the product speaks for the product itself.
Battlefield 3 has repeated what its predecessor had done years ago, it created a new cult game that will be played for years. With BF3 DICE has one again proven that in terms of quality and gameplay they rule all modern warfare genre games and while COD series did temporarily take the throne they took it back in a spectacular way. The singleplayer campaign will leave you stunned with well timed enemy encounters, effects and a story that will probably make you play the game in one sitting. Multiplayer on the other hand has just as bad company 2 before it pushed the limit once again and has things that no developer dared to put in games and those that were though to be too complicated to implement but with Battlefield 3 the DICE team has challenged what is possible and not in games and came out as the winner and is now on a sure road to dominate the FPS genre for years to come. With Battlefield 3 you will surly have hundreds of hours of fun both off in multiplayer, singleplayer or co-op campaign that is tied in to the plot of the single player campaign. This genre redefining game is a must have for any casual or hardcore gamer.
I've been playing BFBC2 and I thought that was an excellent war game, I'm not too much on those kind of games, and i liked it a lot!! And then they announced this BF3, saw the 12 min first trailer and I HAD TO HAVE IT. BF3 has hit the shelves, and Frostbite 2 has been unleashed with full DX11 support! And the Frosbite 2 Engine makes this game totally real, free, huge, lots of animations, lots of places..... The big big maps are all around and you can lost in them, danger awaiting you in every corner, behind every tree, every mountain. Battlefield 3 has, honestly, taken gaming to the next level. I've never played a game with so much detail, so much immersion and such fluid gameplay. It really is the kind of game that all developers should aspire to making. The distance cracking of gunfire, tracers chasing each other through the sky, bullets cracking against your cover, flashlights blinding you, jets screaming past overhead, explosions in the distance.... Every aspect of the game builds and builds into a massive crescendo, exploding all over you, just to just deliver one of the best and most refined gaming experiences ever made. If you are a fan of the series then you probably already have it - if you are a fan of the genre you should order it now and even if your not - buy this and you will be.
