PS3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops
Firstly, the Playstation itself. Sony have really pulled this one out the hat. It's awesome capabilities cannot be matched by the Xbox 360 rival. Gameplay, both offline and online can be enjoyed free of charge thanks to a cohesive platform, which is the Playstation Network. Despite it's recent downfall, PSN is a free, consistent service which allows users to engage in gameplay, chat, and media sharing, amongst other things. The internet browser, which is accessed through the main user interface (or the XMB) is capable of delivering a quick and easy solution to web browsing. The PS3 also allows users to watch Blu-Ray films, and is one of the most commendable Blu-Ray players on the market. There is simply too much to praise for Sony on this console. Call of Duty: Black Ops receives similar critique. This game opens up 3 main areas to the user, a fabulous offline campaign, an addictive multiplayer and the ever-evolving zombie mode. The game is based on past 'secret' missions of both US and Soviet forces in the post World War II period, and gives a true insight into past military conflicts and their consequent conspiracies. Both features I have spoken of make this package a fabulous investment.
