This was a bargain. It's the first 'proper' Super Monkey Ball game in many years, if you exclude Super Monkey Ball Adventure and Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz which were much more like platformers and didn't really get the core feel of the franchise. This goes back to its roots - it's just a simple marble-rolling game with monkeys in balls. No jumping, no storyline, just hair-tearingly tricky mazes in colourful environments, as well as some decent mini games. You can play using the left stick, but I recommend at least trying with the tilt mechanics as it's pretty intuitive, though not perfect. It just seems that a game in which you only tilt a course for a monkey to roll around SHOULD be played by tilting the Vita itself. Overall, this is easily worth an eight out of ten for great challenge and insanely high replay value, but the value presented by TheHut results in a perfect score.
