Description

Upstairs, Downstairs takes place in 165 Eaton Place from the turn of the century through the Great War and into the Roaring Twenties and concerns the Bellamy family: politician Richard Bellamy his wives Marjorie and Virginia, wastrel son James, wayward daughter Elizabeth and his flighty ward, Georgina Worsley. The house domestics are led by Hudson the Butler, a conservative Scot who must contend with the ‘below stairs’ behaviour of the household staff, including cook Mrs Bridges and maids Rose and Sarah.

My sister was thrilled to receive this old classic series on DVD, after listening to her compairing this with Downton Abbey for the past year on how they should bring this series back ( the original ) I was more than pleased she now owns all the episodes on DVD and can now watch it when she wants. Wonderful to see all my favourite characters again, the story hasn't aged in my opinion, will watch again and again and happy to introduce the family to the next generation of my family.

Although it seems to have been around forever, Upstairs Downstairs is still an excellent series. The acting and storyline are superb and it changes enough in each series (just like we do in real life) to keep it fresh. The hut had it at the best price and their service was excellent as usual. 17 discs ensure that you get plenty of value for your money.

The old days are back the memories just flood back with this brilliant tv series if you want to know how we used to live get this dvd collection, i recommend it!!! I was amazed at the speed you got them to me, my mother who it was for was so happy i know that she will enjoy it and i will recommend you to anyone who asks
