The Good Wife - good acting and good chemistry
I started watching The Good Wife from episode one when it was shown on TV, and was immediately drawn in by the excellent story lines and character development. Julianna Margulies in the central role of Alicia Florrick - the Good Wife in question, gives an assured performance of great range as the wife and mum re-entering the legal world as an attorney. The series has a stand alone story line in each episode but also has various themes running throughout. The supporting cast is very strong, with each giving convincing and engrossing performances of their own characters. A mention here must go to Archie Panjabi, the British actress whose depiction of Kalinda Sharma (the sensual, complex and conflicted private investigator working for Alicia's law firm Lockhart & Gardner) is a must see! With high production values, as you would expect with the involvement of Ridley and Tony Scott, the result is a show that looks good, doesn't dumb down for the audience, and delivers great writing in every episode. A gem!
