Mrs Brown's Boys is hilarious from start to finish. Whenever we're fed up we stick this DVd on. We now know the scripts word for word, but it still makes us belly laugh every time!

Side-splitting stuff

Superbly written scripts and even though Brendan O'Carroll is the star of the show, all the other actors play their parts really well too. I love the bits where the actors make the occasional goof. Watching how it's commented upon and them having to go back out or wait their turn to speak just adds to the whole thing. Comedy doesn't come any funnier than this.

An extremely hilarious DVD from a very talented comedian. Brendan O'Carroll is a comedy genius. I have shown the DVD to a lot of my friends and family and they almost wet themselves with laughter. I will defiantly be ordering more. A happy and satisfied customer.

I bought Mrs. Brown's Boys - Series 1 DVD for my Wife as a Mother's Day present from my kids. We'd not seen series 1 before so thought it worth a buy. It was - we laughed so much. Highly recommended if you're into comedy.

Mrs Brown's Boys - Series 1

Mrs Brown is a 70 something Irish widow, with five grown up sons and a daughter, and an elderly father in law in situ in the lounge (known as 'grandad') and the show is filmed in front of live audiences. In some episodes they keep any ad-libs or mistakes in and this adds to the fun. Life revolves around her family and Winnie, her neighbour, with Mrs Brown taking the limelight. The creator and script writer, Brendan O'Carroll, also takes the role of Mrs Brown, with many of his real life family having roles in the show, too. The second DVD explains these relationships really well. The make up and costume for Mrs Brown makes O'Carroll a realistic female. Her language can be somewhat crude but in a humourous way, it adds to the character. My teenagers loved watching with my partner and I and we were in stitches laughing at her antics. I can't wait for the second Series on DVD!

After watching the TV programme I decided to order the DVD and I have not laughed so much in a long time. If it was possible, I would give it more stars, as it deserves much more.

Mrs Brown's Boys is the funniest comedy that I have seen in a long long time. Actually makes me laugh out loud, instead of a small snigger. Fast paced, with the normal ups and downs of family life. I recommend this highly.

A birthday present for my Dad - arrived just in time and he loved it! Hilarious stuff, plenty of swearing but the humour is by no means obscene. A million miles better than the Royle Family.

Great for a Laugh

We were laughing so much at this we were crying. It is some of same gags as the full box set, but set in front of an audience and much much funnier as other ad libs are put in and things changed around. If anyone has a sense of humour they will find this funny and very light hearted. Can't wait for another box set to come out. It's so good that we are glued to it and don't get anything else done or watched until we're finished. It's addictive.
