Description
Gru (Steve Carell) is your average guy, at least that’s what everyone else thinks. He has a secret that is known by very few; he’s a criminal mastermind! He hasn’t been in the news for a long time, since he stole the Times Square JumboTron. He wants to be in the news once again and be recognised for the genius he is, to do so he’s about to steal something big. Something very, very big; the Moon!
To steal the moon he comes up with an ingenious plan. With the use of a shrink ray, Gru is able to shrink the moon, but before he can do so, a cunning super nerd named Vector (Jason Segel) steals the shrink ray from him! Now he must battle Vector in order to become the super villain that he wants to be known as.
Gru adopts three young girls to help him with his plan in stealing the shrink ray back, but doesn’t count on the fact that he may soon become a father to the girls, and have a moral decision whether to live his dream, or become a good dad.

Despicable Me
Despicable Me is a thoroughly enjoyable film for both adults and children alike. A very funny and pleasing film to watch. A must have bargin buy from the Hut!!! Superb.
Brilliant Film
I pre-ordered Despicable Me from and was very pleased when it arrived in the post on the day it was released in shops. The film is as good as I hoped it would be, Steve Carell is brilliant and the little minions are so cute. Can't wait for the kids to watch it at the weekend as I know they will enjoy it as much as us adults did!!
Very Entertaining
I would say this movie was enjoyed by both adults and children at my house. It was a great buy from hut.
A real family treat
Who says laughter is only good for the children? I couldn't take my kids to the film when it was shown at the cinemas last year, but was among the first to buy the DVD from yours truly (ASDA.com) and we had a very good laugh. We actually watched it twice and would definitely recommend it to everyone. Apparently the film does actually teach you a life lesson or two. You need to watch it to discover for yourself.
despicable me
I went to the pictures with my kids and watched it in 3d. Laughted so much I had to buy it on dvd. Well worth the money. Thanks asda. Best price around and didn't have to go out in the rain.
What a Cute Film!
This film is such a cute film which provides laughs and thrills! It also represents a story with deeper meaning and not only was I impressed with the animation and the funny side of the story, I was also fulfilled with the moral of the story. So adults, don't feel like you can't watch this as it's a kids film as it is excellent for big kids too!
Family Viewing
This one isn't just for the kids! It achieves that special trick of being an animated film that appeals equally to adults, and so makes for a film that the whole family can enjoy together. Lots of laughs from the all-star cast and an original story. Thumbs up.
Despicable me
This film is brilliant. My children loved it. Its funny, charming and entertaining. The minions are just adorable and you will love them. Not just one for the kids adults will enjoy it too.
