    Cracker continues to offer the best drama on television. Robbie Coltrane is giving the performance of his life, but it is measure of the quality of the surrounding cast that he never eclipses them.

    'Fitz' Fitzgerald is an insulting, nosy, loathsome individual who is a drunken excuse for a husband, a lousy father and a gambling washout but he has one saving grace - he is a brilliant psychologist with an uncanny ability to see evil in people, make them confess and walk away unscathed. he seems to understand the criminal mind, most probably because his mind isn't that far removed from the criminals he deals with.

    Cracker

    Cracker is a classic series - loved it when it first came out and watched it several times since. Quality of the DVD could be better - I've only watched 2 DVDs from the collection and both stopped when playing, only for a few seconds, but I'd expect no faults when they've never been played before.

    Cracker - The Complete Collection

    The writing in Cracker is smart, gritty, and thought-provoking, and Robbie Coltrane is an absolute star. Everyone else shines on their own though really. Perfect score. The years show a little too much on this subject, as quality isn't one of it's strong points. The stereo sound is good enough to listen with headphones, and the notable jazzy soundtrack is easy to enjoy. The packaging is functional and tough but nothing special. It's just a shame there is no additional content, with it being a substancial collection, but I definitely recommend it.

    Stunning

    Cracker has to be the best British drama of the past 20 years. Gripping storylines, wonderful supporting actors, and obviously a stunning central performance from Robbie Coltrane. A definite must see.

    Brilliant series

    They dont make them like these ANYMORE.It is one of a kind.Robbie Coltrane is just plain brilliant.Each episode keeps you on the edge of your seat.The twist at the end of the episodes is just mind blowing. The writing is amazing, the characters work together well, each character has their own story. To own one boxset would be this one. The story around Fitz is a story itself never mind the main story. The series can be summed up in one word. BRILLIANCE
