Coronation Street - 1976 DVD

1. Gail worries when Lane shows no signs of leaving at 11pm. Emily is suspicious about him and his behaviour and calls the police - he breaks down once the police arrive and is arrested.

2. A TV detector van roams the area. Spooked, Stan tries to hide the TV but drops and breaks it. Hilda reveals she's just bought a licence. Len and Rita have a date but Rita is furious when Len spends their date chatting to Donna.

3. Hilda searches for Stan and fears he's dead, but Stan and Albert are locked in the Rovers' cellar with the beer barrels and begin to help themselves. Hilda calls the police but Annie finds Albert and Stan in the morning.

4. The word spreads that Deirdre is pregnant but she puts the gossipers right. Ray enjoys everyone buying him drinks before Rita tells them he's not going to be a father.

5. The Bishops feel it's unfair that they should have to close the shop whilst the Ogdens just sail through life. Ernie goes to the bank to ask for a loan but is refused it and has to go into liquidation.

6. Ray discovers a load of plumbing stock has been stolen from the site, Len tells the contractor. Stripper, Josie Steel goes through her routine with Ernie at No. 3. Emily walks in half way through the routine.

7. Len grows jealous of Rita's agent. He tells her she can't have a week off to sing in Torquay. She is adamant that she's going so he threatens her with the sack. Rita hits him, he falls to the floor, hitting his head.

8. Handel arrives and tells Ena that Minnie isn't returning. Hilda discovers Stan has taken half of the Christmas money and is furious - calling him a liar and a thief. She tells him she hates him and their rotten lives.
