Greatest Hits - Westlife CD

"Greatest Hits" is the wonderful twelfth studio album and second greatest hits compilation by the iconic and world renowned Irish boyband Westlife, and is released to coincide with their farewell tour and, sadly enough, their disbanding.

The band have always specialised in ballads and beautifully sung melodic love songs, each of their records showing how much they are maturing with their music as they grew from teen pop songs to more adult, contemporary music. This album amply displays this as it contains many of their incredible hits, such as "You Raise Me Up", "Flying Without Wings", as well as their lovely and soulful rendition of Billy Joel's classic song "Uptown Girl".

Also featured on this release are four brand new tracks, including "Beautiful World", "Wide Open" and "Last Mile Of The Way", as well as the song "Lighthouse", which has been released as a single to promote the album.

Pop music will never be the same without these Irish lads, and this album truly shows how much of an impact they have made on musical history. (Cat Emerson)
