Legendary British rock band UFO have been around for decades and while many bands of a similar age have refrained from producing new material, sitting around releasing best-of albums was not something that appealed to these hard rock pioneers. The successor to 2009's “The Visitor” the bands latest studio album is “Seven Deadly” which comes as the result of an unceasing desire to create new and effecting material.
The album was the product of a number of vigorous recording sessions at the producer Tommy Newton's aptly named “Area 51” studio in Germany, In terms of content the record is built around the unique vocals that have long been associated with UFO and unsurprisingly, refined guitars and the driving force of Andy Parker's throbbing drum beat that propels the whole work forward. A few examples of this winning formula include “Burn Your House Down”, “Year Of The Gun” and “Angel Station”. This is certainly an album that should appeal to any rocker who enjoys a great riff or blistering solo and is a worthy addition to their library.
This digipack edition includes the added bonus of 2 additional tracks: “Other Man's Wife” and “Bag O' Blues”. (Adam Bibby)

20th Studio Album
Class new album from one of the world's best rock bands. Great songs like "Fight Night", "Wonderland", "Mojo Town", "The Last Stone Rider" & "Waving Good Bye". Very much the band and sound of "The Visitor" album with a heavier edge and great blues riffs, class lyrics and all the atmosphere of the last UFO albums. If you're a fan you won't be let down by this one, it's a must to own and if you get this digipak with the 2 bonus tracks, the hard rock of "Other Men's Wives" and the old style blues of "Bag O' Blues" there not to be missed. Thrilled me all the way, every track is great and the sound is rite up there, nice & loud, like it should be. Well recommended, get it.

What a Surprise!
A quick review based upon only three listens to this wonderful album! I didn't really know what to expect as recent UFO albums in my opinion have been poo compared to the bands previous high standards. Although not quite matching Mechanix which is a personal fave, this album is full of meaty riffs, great guitar solos and Mogg's growling voice. All I can possibly say is that the music grownrwon with the band and this formation have excelled. Thanks UFO for a really great album!
