"Flash Gordon" was somewhat of a surprising offering from Queen when it was released in 1980, as their ninth studio album was also a soundtrack to the B movie sci-fi classic of the same name. Moreover, the album made extensive usage of synthesizers; something that the band had previously avowed themselves to not do.
"Flash's Theme" is without a doubt the most iconic song on the album with its famous "Ah-Ahhhhhh!". However, this is an album with many gems, if the listener can look past the cheesy interjections of film lines found throughout the album that shows the entire band having a great time (Adam Bibby)
