Queen's fourth studio album "A Night at the Opera" was released in 1975 and was, at the time, the most expensive studio album ever recorded and is widely regarded by many as being the pinnacle of their golden age. The album of course features one of rocks best known songs, the avant-garde masterpiece that is "Bohemian Rhapsody". However the appeal of the album goes far beyond a single song, with a range of tracks that span a variety of styles from the proggy undertones of "The Prophet's Song" to the now classic pop smash "You're My Best Friend" and the ragtime inspired "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon".
Given the widespread acclaim this album has enjoyed, it should be considered an essential album for the rock aficionado’s musical library, only enhanced through it's remastering. (Adam Bibby)
