"Born To Die (Deluxe Edition)" is the deluxe version of the eagerly anticipated debut studio album by the American singer Lana Del Rey, who became practically an overnight sensation when she signed to Interscope records.
The album is filled with contemporary indie music, that plays upon the musical styles featured throughout the early and mid 1900s, in both melody and lyrical content. This is blended effectively with Lana Del Rey's own personal, signature style and sound, giving the classic side of the music a new direction and modern twist.
The record is preceded by the lead singles "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans", two piano-based songs, the melodies of which add beauty and depth to the classical sound of the instrument. This is combined with Del Rey's very distinctive singing voice, where every utterance oozes sex appeal and classic glamour, especially as the songs are slow, and sultry.
"Born To Die (Deluxe Edition)" is an incredible debut album for Lana Del Rey, as it is a new and innovative blend of musical components, and makes for one breath of fresh air, and this deluxe version gives fans so much more to enjoy. Amazing new talent
I bought this album basically as a result of reviews I had read and I was not disappointed! This new, up and coming starlet has bucketloads of talent both by composing & singing her own material. At first listen, you may be sitting on the fence wondering whether you like her or not but trust me, the more you listen .. the more you are hooked!! Great talent, very catchy and very moreish. This young lady is here to stay. Reminds of of Kate Bush/female version of Ed Sheeran and a bit of Suzanne Vega but what would I know. Just purchase this album and you will be proud to include this in your collection. This is not a trend setters album, it is timeless and the quality is top drawer.
