Making Mirrors - Gotye CD

Making Mirrors

    Product Review

    Release Date: 13 February 2012

"Making Mirrors" is the eagerly anticipated third studio album by the incredibly innovative Belgian/Australian musical artist Gotye. This album is the follow up to the second studio album "Like Drawing Blood", which was released in 2006.

The album follows on with his traditional musical values, possessing and incorporating very natural sounding elements and instrumentals, creating delightful yet haunting melodies the likes of which are completely unique to him.

Featured on the album is the lead single "Eyes Wide Open", a fast-paced, uptempo track with speedy drumming giving the song a sense of urgency and filling it with energy and power. Also included on this album is the single "Somebody That I Used To Know" featuring the New Zealand singer/song writer Kimbra, and is an emotionally raw and soulful song, the vocals filled with passion and the harmonies blending perfectly.

"Making Mirrors" is yet another completely unique and incredible album by Gotye, and adds to his ever growing discography of musical treasures. Brilliant. (Cat Emerson)
