"Memory And Humanity" is the brilliant fourth studio album by the Welsh post hardcore rock band Funeral For A Friend released in 2008, as the follow up to their 2007 record "Tales Don't Tell Themselves".
This album shows FFAF returning to their signature style of music, with just a touch of screamed vocals added on to their already distinctive instrumental musical characteristics to bring back a slight ferocity and bite to their sound. This is balanced out with the fact that this record shows itself to be more technical and impressively mastered, as Funeral For A Friend constantly evolve themselves and move forward musically.
Featured on this record are the singles "Waterfront Dance Club/Beneath The Burning Tree", "Kicking And Screaming" and "Rules And Games", which amply display the heavier written melodies, primarily seen in the throbbing bass lines and in both the guitar chord progressions and riffs.
This album seemingly recovered the standard and quality of music and material that many Funeral For A Friend fans deemed them to have lost on their previous album, being more in tune with their signature twist on regular hardcore music to make each release as innovative and brilliant as the last.
