"Parklife" was Blur's third album, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it one of the most important albums that have been made in the past 20 years, whose effects still resonate in albums being made today. The reasons for its brilliance are many, but the essence of its success is the way it intelligently merged disparate styles of music, from new wave to space rock, in order to create an album that captured the experiences of an entire generation and then set it to great music. The stand out tracks on this record like "Girls & Boys", "This Is a Low", "To The End" and of course the album-titled track should be familiar to most through airplay, but are given a new lease of life when heard in the context of the whole album.
